I think he can top out as a much less skilled Phil Kessel type player. 2nd line guy 25-15-40 or so. Kind of guy who is relatively useless in the playoffs, but will help you score in the regular season. Not my cup of tea, though.

Cizikas put on an absolute clinic on that one PK shift. I love gutsy PK efforts like that.

Also, do some reading on this Islander prospect if you are unaware of his story. Pretty interesting stuff.

I blame the US for beating Canada. You wouldn't have had a chance for a gold if Kyle Palmieri hadn't moronically ran your goaltender to give you the PP that saw the GTG.

Tarasenko with a great diving play to break up the cross crease pass on that last Canada PP.

Kid looks good.

Awww come on, no need to jump on me for that. I put the picture of poutine there hoping it would say "I'm a little bit serious, but not that very serious." I thought if I left no emoticon there, it would look like I was serious, and if I put "" there, it would look like I wasn't serious at all. I just meant there were a few plays where he should have been better, that's all.

I just still hate Palmieri for that.

Plus, the last time we won the gold we had to listen to how Canada lost the game for years.

Can I still blame Fleury for that one? I still get nightmares of him handling that puck.

No.

But I blame that win for Al Montoya.

1) NHL Network
2) Check the thread on the WJC board (prospects section). It has a link to all the streams.

Tarasenko is a ****ing beast. I never complained about taking Mcilrath ahead of him, but this game is giving me second thoughts.

They need to add "Says Jaques Martin" in the French pronunciation.

No problem. There is at least one stream for the USA game if you don't get NHL Network.

I have no idea how he fell to 16th. The Blues got an absolute steal with that pick. When he develops fully, the Blues are gonna have a deadly offensive team with Oshie, Berglund, Steen, Tarasenko, Schwartz, and Backes as their top-6.

Schwartz and Howden, two guys that were picked after Mcilrath.
McIlrath wasn't drafted for what he is now, although he is pretty good now. He was drafted to become hopefully a monster.

canada didnt look all that impressive to be honest. their board play was the only aspect id say they were dominant in. Russia had some great chances and could have won this game.

Have to agree with this as well. There were periods where Canada didn't look in sinc at all, and couldn't get anything going. Not a big fan of their goalie Roy either, he let up a bad one that let the Russians back in it.

Canada's goaltending is ripe for the picking. USA forwards must be salivating at that.

then they have some studs on defense with Eric Johnson and Pietriangelo.. There are probably others on defense also who I probably forgot.
