Plus/Minus Pens v Rags.

- The team for falling apart.

+ Sid keeping the streak alive.

Sorry, that's pretty pathetic. No one else deserves a plus. It was just a team collapse. No one cared.

-Refs. For being so incompetent that I question Bettman's hiring policies.

- Conner he gets pushed down and off the puck with one hand. He is too small.

- team defense how many times ive seen Rangers get behind our Defensemen. Just sloppy.

- Cooke guy just dont have the hands. PUt him on the 3rd or 4th line.

*waits for Johnson/Malkin hating to begin*
But Malkin got a goal. That's a plus for my fantasy team. (And a goalie win, I have Henrik on my fantasy team)

- Discipline/Special Teams
It's unbelievable that a team with such a piss-poor powerplay was able to ride a 12-game winning streak. It doesn't surprise me that these two losses can more-or-less be chalked up to the Pens' inability to capitalize on the PP and fall as a result of a special teams goal against. The Pens had a chance to put the game away on two separate PPs that looked absolutely pathetic. Instead, Matt Cooke takes an undisciplined penalty in the offensive zone, the Rags tie it up and don't look back.

I'm not going to crucify BJ, but oh man, if that had been MAF in there, this thread would be collapsing...

Seems we can beat the weak teams but any team that is doing well is kicking our butt.

I hate our Defense. Every game i see a player get behind our defensemen and some luck of god they miss the net or something. Why dont the Pens ever get behind their Defensemen?

Also most teams come down the middle of the ice and score, but yet we always come down the left or right side and never down the middle. Why is that?

+ third line controlling the play in the rags zone.
+ most of the first 2 periods.

- not capitalizing on our chances.
- PP sucked ass
- missing the net with our forwards waiting for rebounds.

Conner has been great until this game. He is small but we've also seen him throw some weight around. He has certainly proven he's not too small to be effective, at least in the short term, but we shall see.

When Staal and Malkin come back, Cooke won't be on the powerplay and will be either a 3rd liner or on a line with JS and EM to provide grit. Not much we can do when 2 of our top 4 forwards are injured.

The old SRH would have called this a norm and the 12-game streak an aberration. Poor effort. Too many passes to nowhere. Undisciplined play, Allowing opponents to get behind our guys completely untouched...all hallmark of this team.

The new SRH thinks you win 12, you lose some. ups-and-downs.

- not finishing games. Complete domination for 2 1/2 periods, but thats not good enough. Also, the pens MUST start getting some production from ppl outside Sid.

- the curse on TK tonight, he should have had 2 or 3 goals that somehow missed.

Oh, and BJ was left out to dry as our D men were pinching and the rags got odd man rushes. Boyles and Asinimov's goals were great shots.

+Geno (not only scoring the goal, played pretty good IMO)
+Sid (keeping it alive, time to shave the stache tho)
+BJ in the 1st 2 periods
+"The Shift" in the 1st (simply outstanding puck control)

-Defense disappearing in the 3rd
-BJ in the 3rd period
-3rd period meltdown

Pretty much the whole 3rd period sucked ass. This is a good example of why we need some scoring depth. Our grinders just couldn't do it tonight and the Rangers goals were awesome.

-Queen Henry crying. You know it was a iffy call that I can see go either way but the fact it was this cry baby whining again made me very angry.

-Gogo/Lovejoy pairing. Stop putting them out together.

-Malkin/Crosby. Highlight goals are awesome from time to time but we are missing both Kunitz and Staal so you respond by putting all the scoring on one line?

Just because we were hot doesn't mean we don't have our flaws.

This just shows why we need skilled wingers, once again.

And as far as the third line, they played terribly in the third too. They got dominated by a bigger Rangers team. Conner is too small.

- pretty much the entire game, I know most of you feel they played well enough in the first two, I however feel they played bad enough to lose. Such a choppy game.

Hm, Orpik to Crosby to Geno, that's all I get from this one, the rest is just a wash for me.

It was an ugly loss, and had they won, well it would have been ugly too.

I'd rather they try an score goals than try an protect one/two goal leads.

Malkin was good tonight, but his fanciness was hit or miss. He had a couple of chances where a quick pass would have been much better, but then a couple more he made happen with some good stick work. Should have passed it early on that 2 on 1 to Crosby instead of trying to drag it and failing miserably.

Late game collapse = big minus.
