Simple, one vote each. Maybe we can find out if anyone here is a text message junkie...

Me? I'd LOVE to anger everyone that hates him. I vote yes even if he hasn't had an all-star year. (Though the King or Dubs obviously deserves it)

no way...f that

i see that as a slap in the face to everyone on this team who has stepped up in a huge way to take this team to another level...mianly dubi

i highly doubt dubi would care...but its ridiculous to even consider avery for the all star game

huh? Dont get this thread.

Boyle, Callahan, Dubinsky, Girardi, Staal, Rozy, Gaborik, Stepan, even Prust should be all-stars before Avery. Not sure what we are getting at here.

ASG voting is a joke and the game itself is such a boring waste of time. I haven't watched it in years. However, if Avery went then I definitely would tune in just to see what he would do.

I wouldn't send my favorite players there either, I'd like them to get a rest. But "Allstar " and "Avery"? Non merci.

The answer is a resounding yes from me. Hell send Brian Boyle. The ASG is by no means a serious competition and has no actual value to a players game or contribution to their own team. Also, I don't want them sending one of their actual superstars who could potentially end up injured doing some flashy or stupid move.

As long as it's a fan-vote based system, there is no reason to take getting nominated seriously. I sincerely doubt any other player on this team would feel shafted if Avery actually made it over them. They would probably be laughing right along.

Keep Gaborik and Lundqvist out of this game. I don't care who goes, just not them.

Yes! I'd love Avery in the ASG because it would piss off so many people.

Can't agree more. Extra rest for those guys would be a huge bonus.

I really think Dubi should get the nod and I think it would be great for his confidence and career.

I say HELL YES to Sean Avery getting the Nod for this team for 2 Reasons-

1) Like others have said, rest our stars and add flavor to the game

2) For all the people talking about this guy and that guy that have stepped up and deserved it more, I offer this- Multiple times Sean has stepped up for this team, wether it be late season playoff runs, or actual playoff series. How quickly we forget is emasculation of Kovalchuk in our playoff series with Atlanta. His embaressment of Broduer, in the playoffs when it counted most. He plays anywhere the coach puts him and with anyone the coach puts him with and you never here a peep out of his mouth unless he's bad mouthing another team. He continues to be a sparkplug for this team, remember it was Avery, rather uncharacteristically with a heavywieght, dropping the gloves with Asham that got the team going in Pittsburgh the other night, even Keenan pointed it out on air...

Sure, the guy isn't the leagues model of sportsmanship, but I would argue that the slewfoots by crosby/malkin, charges and boardings by ovechkin, elbows by pronger, and on and on, are no better that what Sean does, and he rarely takes a cheapshot that may hurt someone. he is grossly overvilified for his big fat mouth.

I'd have no problem with Sean going to the all-star game, just like I wouldn't mind a guy like Callahan going, even though he doesn't lead the team in scoring or have a flashy game.

And yes, I am absolutely in love with the idea of the big fat NY Ranger style FU it sents to Gary Bettman and the rest of the league!!!!

Could you imagine guys like Brodeur or Crosby being forced to share the locker room with him? Classic

I find the all star game to be a joke and would love it if it could be engineered so Avery is our only player there. Let the important players rest up for the long haul, watch how awkward he makes everything.

Imagine what his trick shot would be? He'd probably have Vogue models skate down towards the goal with him or something.
