Any word on the starter for tonight? I'm going to the game so selfishly I want to see Lundqvist in net, but they need to give Biron a game soon and tonight seems like a good choice...they play Philly on Saturday and then are off for a while

Hopefully we will see Biron in net tonight so Hank is well rested for the Flyers (who are the best Eastern Conference team IMO).

Here's to consistent effort and hopefully a win!

LETS GO RANGERS!! WIN IT FOR CALLY!!

Lets get 2 more points.

According to tonight's game notes, we have lost 98 total man-games. Link is here:

I see a Drury PPG coming in this one.

And I hope Arty makes it 3 in a row with a goal.

I liked the chance and of course in hindsight its rough but I would make that trade 8 days out of the week.
For Lisin, I didn't like the chance. But, that assumes Korpikoski has the value to bring back someone better, and I'm not sure about that either.

NHL Home Ice on XM said Biron, but who knows how reliable they are.

Anyway, I'm off to the game. See you all at MSG

Lets be reality, Korpikoski would never have gotten the minutes here that he gets at PHX and we would all still be ranting how he's another dime-a-dozen player, stop beating the dead horse and just let the trade talks die.

FGM97, quite the conundrum for you tonight! Where does your main allegiance lie again? I think I remember you saying Rangers first, PHO second...

I'm pretty confident this team can still do well without Cally. Especially if Drury somehow chips in a few points along the way (essentially brings what Cally does but will score at a lesser clip)

SHOULD be an easy 2 points.. this team has not dissapointed so far against the weaker opponents. I have unusually high confidence in them for some reason, and I know that they can on any given night beat anyone but the real upper echelon teams.. (Phi and Det)

LGR

Every player that doesn't immediately bust after being traded by the Rangers is a missed opportunity and a bad trade and we need to make some posts about it.

I liked Korpikoski, I'm glad he's doing well in Phoenix, but the only guys I'm really feeling like he'd replace on this current Rangers team are 4th liners (White, Boogaard) and then we're back to where we started, with him not getting much icetime but we're expecting him to score a bunch or something

e: Phoenix isn't a top team in the league or anything but I wouldn't overlook them as "easy". You can bet they work hard and the Rangers have struggled at times this year against teams that clog the neutral zone effectively (I assume Phoenix will do this as the rep they have in my head is being a defensive team and most defensive teams are good at making life difficult between the blue lines)

Eh, he's playing less than 14 minutes a night. Same range as Christensen, Prust and Avery. 30-40 seconds less than Frolov and Boyle. If he was still with us and played well, Tortorella would give him a shot.

I agree though. He's nothing particularly special, and people should move on. It was a gamble that didn't work...and now here we are, a pretty damn solid team regardless.

This is a game that we should win on paper, so naturally the Rangers will probably underperform. My prediction is a 3-2 OT win, Stepan with the GWG.

After outscoring our last 2 powerhouse opponents by a combined 11-1, things are far too pleasant around here.

2-1 loss.
