The fact remains that blaming a 6-7th defenseman for our problems, a player who plays less than 15 minutes per game, is just lame if you ask me.

I see Spacek and Gill make more mistakes than Picard. Yet, they're seasoned veterans and are getting paid $2.5M and $3.8M respectively! Why no thread on them? But nooooo... let's blame Picard as he's the new scapegoat.

I don't think Weber has been bad. I did miss the last two games though, but for what I've seen, I wouldn't go as far to say he's been bad. Even if Picard is young, he's not a rookie like PK-Weber, he should be better.

Out of the past 10games, Picard has played more than 17min 7times. I only took the past 10 games as a sample but it's been like that since injuries struck again.
Same thing for Gill, he's been used too much. Both these guys would ideally play around 16min as the bottom Dmen.

I think it's stupid to blame Picard, or Gill, or Spacek, or any of our Dmen. We've played well defensively for most of the year so far. Scoring goals is the problem. Sure, the breakout starts from the defense, but still, we are not putting the puck in the net when we're in the Offensive zone.

It'll be interesting to see how Martin now manages his bench (although Pearn is responsible for the Ds) now with the Wizman here.

A little FYI, there's been many threads raging on Spacek earlier this year.

Nobody is saying Picard is the WHOLE problem, but he is part of it. Ridiculous that he hasn't sat out a game since Markov went out considering all the crapopy games he has had in December.
I see. But considering everything, shouldn't their skills/experience justify them playing against better players?

Picard > Weber that's for sure. Send Weber back down, he's horrible.

Man that Picard sucks! See what he did again tonight? What?... oh... he wasn't playing?... Still his fault! Damned you for not wanting to play, you lazy bum! You're supposed to be in the line-up so people can direct the blame at you as you're supposed to be performing like a $3M player!

Go read the other threads, we have a new scapegoat : Lapierre. A thread about him should pop up pretty soon.

I'd rather have my wrist slit than have Picard back in the lineup.

Maybe that's the reason the rest of the hab team has been playing like **** lately, playing with Picard so long made them want to committ mass suicide.

Not necessarily, with Markov out a lot of guys are playing bigger roles than they should, Picard included.

If that means that we won't have to suffer through the trade proposals...

Now that Lapierre is gone, let's all focus on getting rid of Picard. When he's gone, we'll chase Desharnais (if he's still there).

Ready... Set... Go!

They were too busy working on Kostitsyn and OB...wonder why they weren't included?

Picard is not good enough or bad enough to deserve 13 pages.

The guy is a decent #6-#7 D.
