This passed episode helped solidify my (and many others') beliefs that Crosby whines/screams to the refs, Ovi screams at the refs, and Malkin is dirty as ****.
Please tell me all saw the part where in the WC Cindy got pulled down, drew a penalty, and gave the referee some attitude. The ref said, "I just gave you a power play and you're giving me attitude?"

Even the officials think he's a whiny *****.
I saw it during the game. Didn't watch 24/7 tonight though. when he was going in on net and got taken down?

After Cooke was being cross-checked, the ref goes to the Caps bench and starts talking crap on him. I know everyone does it, but that's how you know that refs get aggravated at players when they talk **** to them, on them, and that they always remember when they do it too much.
Also, good refs don't come out and make themselves the show. For instance, he told Ovechkin not to leave his feet again or he's going to have to call a penalty, instead of slapping him with a charging call 20 seconds into the game and saying that it's in the rulebook.
Bruce in the mall is actually quite sad to me. All he talks about is food and not giving a crap about his wife... it reminds me of my father.
The way I saw it was that he hates shopping for whatever reason it is, doesn't mean he doesn't care. In fact, he's just like any other man I know. Anyways, with all the editing of the show, who knows how long he was at the mall trying to pick a gift for his wife, he might have been there a while.

I laughed at that part, it's unbelievable how he whine about everything. I know a NHL linesman that plays ball hockey with us in the summer, and he told us that he never heard a player whine more than Cindy.

Yea he was complaining that it was only a penalty and not a penalty shot. He said he's watched 80 games this year and in all of those games what happened to him was a penalty shot. This further proves our hatred for Crosby is justified because he cries EVEN when given a penalty. WOW!!!!! He really thinks the cup should be handed to him every year. What an arrogant ******.
How about the poor sportsmanship at the end where the Caps were ready to shake hands but the Pens just went into the dressing room?? Nothing says crybabies more than that does. Somehow the Pens fans will justify his actions though.

People always want penalty shots though. He's not the first one and won't be the last to complain about that.

Fairly off topic...but since we're talking penalty shots...reminds me a little bit of the pens islanders game when Cindy's point streak ended...
Bylsma tried so hard to get cindy on the ice for that penalty shot....but the refs would have none of it. ( not an example of lots of whining...just was funny to see ).

Agreed. However, the way that he complains about it is what makes it whiney. Just like Boudreau's coaching style which is whiney. Byalsma is a much better coach. I'm not just a Penguins hater.
Does it sicken anyone else that "Pittsburgh" in their time of need won the lottery for Crosby? Like Dupuis said, the guy just does "everything right". Like seriously, how can the NHL with a straight face say that lottery wasn't rigged? And Kane to Chicago after their owner dies and everything is looking good in a big TV market. I mean seriously, the lottery HAS TO BE RIGGED! There is NO WAY those things are a coincidence.
I don't think it was rigged, and there is plenty of way that it was a coincidence. In fact, it's a 1 in 16 chance that it is a simple coincidence for the Pens. However, I do think it was a travesty that Pittsburgh had 3 balls in it after they had a 2nd overall the year before and a 1st overall the year prior to that.
As for the Hawks, they had a I believe something like a 5% chance of winning it.
Bylsma seems like a pretty good coach, but he's young and still has a lot to learn...am I the only one who thinks Bruce is kind of funny? yeah he's not a great coach; but some of the stuff he said was hilarious: "let's get it moving you Sh*tbums"
and umm why are you guys so shocked that Crosby was whining to the refs?? My cousin who barley watches hockey knows that Sid whines; he's famous for it, so why is everyone so surprised?
anyways, great series I wish it was longer, and I hope they do it again next year. Episode 1 was by far the best out of the 4 but I'm not complaining because they were all amazing
I agree with your assessment for the most part. But you forgot one thing: this show totally reinforces that Mike Knuble is a badass.
I was watching it with my kids (they made me promise not to say disgusting things about Crosby before they'd put it on) and said how much I like Knuble -- they told me to wait and I'd really love him. When he stood up in the dressing room and told them they were NOT going to lose this way, they were right.
