Yormark pissed after last nights loss

@PanthersYormark
Michael Yormark
Pissed at last nights game. It was unacceptable. My apologies to all our fans. I know peter is addressing it at practice today.

Tweet from him today. What you guys think ?

I just don't care. I mean, it's Yorkman, and how often are things "addressed in practice" only to not see much of a change?

Oh, and:

To hell with that, we need a tougher coach. Deboer is practically taking the team out to Pizza Hut after the loss.

And Yormark, now you know how we've been feeling towards you for years now. Do something constructive or GTFO

I bet PDB scratches Matthias for next game.

If you're gonna fire Deboer, it needs to be done at the end of the season.

No one is gonna make this roster perform well enough to get us to the playoffs. Playoff teams don't lose games like that. There's nothing wrong with sucking terribly. As tough as it is to take as fans, for the long term success of the team, getting a higher pick here is the best deal we can get. We'll stick to the plan, probably do crappy this season (as the vast majority, if not all of the people on these boards seemed pretty okay and expected in the offseason) and after we've released however many contracts through trades and whatnot, we can fire PDB if that's what Tallon wants to do. Go through the draft, and FA, where Tallon can really put his stamp on the team, and then move forward.

Lack of talent can't be adressed in a practice.

So far this season..

Fun to watch: Santorelli, Matthias, Dadonov, Ellerby, 09'-10' Kulikov

Occasionally fun to watch: Booth, Weiss, Frolik, Garrison, Dvo, Vokoun

Whatever: Reinprecht, Higgins, Bernier, Stillman Reasoner, Allen, 10'-11' Kulikov, McCabe, Weaver, Wideman, Clem, Olesz

I don't care if Yorkman's pissed. I'm glad at least he gives some rat's ass about the team's performance, but no matter what happens in practice, I don't see what DeBoer can do to motivate them in time to save their season. Good teams like the Penguins can go on 12 game winning streaks when I don't think we'll even win 4 in a row all season. We just don't have the roster to do so unless Tallon acts now and does a bit of a shakeup. I've been behind DeBoer since he was hired, but after last night for the first time ever, I really questioned if he's hurting the team or if he's still the right man for a "speculated" upcoming team.

More talk, no action. I think we are all immune to it already.

Yorkman is so behind times. Out of phase. Delayed. Most real fans are wayyyy beyond getting pissed. It's in the don't care mode for most at this point of the season. The only interesting things left this season are:
-- will there be even a single fight in the remaining season?
-- will Dadonov score #2 or be benched?
-- will Olesz spend the rest of the season injured?
-- will PDB be fired the last day of the season, or the day after?
-- will Higgins ever score another NHL goal?
-- will Horton win the cup?
-- will Bouw miss the playoffs, again?

it's not about "giving ass", it's about kissing ass. that's all yorkman's doing. it's all business with that stiff. he thinks the fans want to feel a sense of outrage at the loss from management and that something's being done. i think, based on the response here, he's probably right. however, mccabe put it best:

Quote:
We know we have to play with a little more fire, a little more grit. We got a few goals thanks to some bounces, but we never dictated the play. That's what we have to do.
in short, it's a marginal team that, thanks to injuries and some bad luck is now pretty much guaranteed to miss the playoffs, if not secure a lottery pick and yorkman's a dbag. nothing to look at here, keep moving...

DeBoer, these are hockey players getting paid millions; not little kids who should be easily forgiven for giving a nice effort and having a great heart.

There is no first line talent on this team. Also the Panthers miss Olesz ?

ok, ya - so you're here to advise us and coach on how to handle his athletes? thanks. i'm sure he's listening.

first of all, it wasn't really a nice effort and they didn't show great heart. second, fans always want to punish their team when they are let down but that is usually not the right approach. have you ever heard the phrase "people usually need love the most when they deserve it the least"? well, think about how that might apply. this is an art that good coaches master. i'm not saying pete's a good coach, just that the over-emotional fan (or insincere owner) response really has to be thrown out. i agree with pete tho, for the record - a bag skate would not have been appropriate. that's just GR throwing out inside terminology to sound knowledgable while giving away the fact that he's not truly in tune with the game, the team or the coach.
