agreed.

Barry, who is usually dead wrong on most things, is usually pretty accurate on injuries.

He knew Poni was out for a month before we even knew Poni was injured.

By the way.. Stop thinking its "COOL" to hate on Doughty. That last goal wasn't his fault. That guy tried to dangle and got stopped, and it went right to a trailing Blues player. Then Quick couldn't make a save short side.

Also, in regards to Cliffords penalty.. Stop saying "he shouldn't of put himself in that position.." We always chew Brown out for not defending his teammates and that hit on Johnson right before the penatly warranted a confrontation..

Clearly we would have won this game if Murray had moved Westgarth up to replace Kopitar as #1 C.

The Kings better wake up because it's not going to be easier for them next game with Bernier in net. They need to play better in front of him. A lot better.

For the record, it was the backchecker's fault on that play. Well folks, Sharks and Stars each get a point, can't get much worse than that. PHx gets on too, Ducks and Kings only Pacific division teams to NOT get a point tonight.

Silver lining: offense has put up 9 goals in 2 games...

But I'm still peeved.

He was as culpable as anyone for that goal. It didn't look as bad from the behind the net replay but when they showed it from the St. Louis end of the ice it was pretty bad. He took himself out of the play. You don't care if a player wants to dangle into the corner. He made the high risk attempt and whiffed.

He played a terrible game. He's running around looking for big hits instead of playing the shutdown defense he's capable of...see the Sobotka goal.

Still a young team that plays inconsistent.

Murray to blame or the age of the team?

Clifford did get a couple of chances to win the game in the third and didn't convert. Kings PP only looks good 5-on-3.

Westgarth -2 in 7 minutes.

Murray still doesn't know how to coach during the game.

Hell, Zeiler >>> Westgarth

I sure hope Murray is smart enough to put Williams back with Stoll and Smyth when Sturm is healthy. I think Stoll has 1 point since Williams joined Kopitar's line. Sturm would allow Brown to play the RW again.

Not even. Westgarth took a while to figure out some things but he's had more chances to do something offensively than Ivanans did the last two seasons. Actually doing something with them will take a little bit more time for him to pick up.

I don't know about that... Ivanans was possibly the worst player I have ever seen in the NHL. Watching Ivanans and Joel Rechlicz made me wonder about the future of NHL hockey.

That being said, Westgarth isn't far behind. They both make Barry Potomski look like Pavel Bure.,

All of our players found the way to the arena in time and the equipment manager handled every player a shirt in a matching colour.........

these things are a improvement..... at least this is what the people tell me

Call me crazy but without major changes the last season will be the highlight of this squad.
Every game we are doing a small step back

Every game except the ones where we beat the best team in the league (at least in the West) 5-0 in their own building or routinely go on 3 game winning streaks are a step back, right?

Sure Doughty was on the ice for every goal but he wasn't as bad as some are making him out to be tonight. He didn't play every goal the right way but he wasn't truely responsible for them. Each and every one of those were team goals and Quick wasn't sharp. Deffinately a letdown gme.
The only sane post I read in the net...

Lol.

I really must have watched a different game than most of you guys, or I'm just really relaxed tonight... which doesn't make any sense at all.

I credit this one to the Blues. Holy hell did they play an impressive game. That's how you win without talent in this league.

The Kings still matched their pressure time and time again throughout the game and controlled the third period.

I think missed shots on net truly lost this game. After the game went 3-2, I knew this was a game you needed 5 or 6 to win. Some games are just like that. Quick wasn't terrible, but he was a bit off. Good enough to win this type of game if the Kings didn't shoot wide so damn much that third period.

Logic? There's no room for logic here...

We got outworked, simple as that. I think coming off a 5-0 win over Detroit and into St. Louis to face an injury decimated club got the guys thinking that this was going to be an easy game. Props to them for tying it up after things were looking out of control, but the team that came to play a 60 minute game won tonight.
