Agreed. I would've like to have seen him shoot, but I bet he thought with the way Hank has been playing he probably would've just gobbled it up.

Other than the Flyers winning this game, it's a pretty boring game.

Carle did have him beat. But he wanted to act like a forward and try to dangle.

Man we are so close, but just bad luck bounces. We need 2 more goals!! We for sure have to score the next goal.

Going into the 3rd with the lead is good, but another goal or two would be good.

I love Powe's forecheck and general energy. The guy drinks 5 Redbulls before each game.

same can be said for the Rangers..

Boosh had one beat him and ping the post and another slip throu his legs and go off outside of post..

this third period is crucial for both teams..

I love some of richies responses to interview questions...

MSG Reporter: I don't know if you've had the scouting report on the Rangers but they've come back in the 3rd 2 games in a row to win.

Richie: No, I didn't, but thanks for that.

Shotcount is 26-19 in favor of the Flyers. So much for the "Flyers D will stink without Pronger" crowd from the main board.

He is designed to be a 4th line energy guy. Great on forecheck and hits very well ! I have been begging for this 4th line all year, they are exactly how I want our 4th line to be.

Better period than the first, but we make too many easy/sloppy mistakes. I don't know what to think about Zherdev. On the one hand if he had done that pass in the final minutes of the first period on my team, he would have been a head shorter, and then that stupid, stupid penalty. On the other hand, you knew he would score on that breakaway, it was clear already from the blue line and in. Players like that are great to have.

That pass by Richie was pure greatness as well. The job Meszaros did deep in the corner was good to see as well.

Bartulis looks pretty good considering the circumstances I think, but he's out of position a bit more than I remember from him last year.

A german comedian once stated that when the nuclear apocalypse occurs, only Cockroaches and Keith Richards will survive. Whenever I see Ron Duguay I think he might still be around too.

Pronger will obviously also survive, but he will take advantage of the fact that people will think he's dead.

I haven't checked his numbers for the year, but he seems to be having a terrific year in the face-off circle to me. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like he's developed into a good face-off guy finally.

Also, Richards has been a beast tonight. I usually don't use that word, but he has been. Especially on the PK. He's had so many odd-man chances and breakaways, but all he has is a beautiful assist to show for it.

Where did that lady behind the bench get that Rangers alternate jersey that says FLYERS on it instead?
