They don't get that Subban actually has talent and McQuaid and Subban shouldn't even be in the same phrase together.

That's hilarious! A few weeks ago I saw it on one of my faucets too and I started cracking up... yes I need help.

I hate to be the old news pawlice bawttttt.........

I personally find that awesome, Subban is already a star a quarter into his first season.

It's glamorous really, when you think about it. Nobody knew what the heck the hype was about and they were doubting but now everyone knows Subban's name in the NHL.

It's how you make your mark anywhere you go, and he's making a name for himself because he's good and he knows it. I'm no psychologist but I'd say to an outsider he seems to lack maturity but to anyone who's followed the kid since he got drafted he's only doing exactly what he has done in the past and that's what caught Timm's attention, and he hasn't changed, thank GOD.

I have a feeling when all this crap is behind him and the league finally gets used to his act and stops targetting him in the sense that they will give up trying to get at him, the points floodgates will open.

Look at Karlsson - Subban is every bit as talented if not more (the last part is homerism I admit but I can see it), yes he's in his second season but do you think that if everyone was focusing so much on wearing him down after every play and whistle he would put up those points?

Ever since I was a kid Boston has had the worst announcers ever. I remember watching a game or two on their feed in my day and it was so bad. It isn't even the bias that gets me but the lack of professionalism and lack of actual proper analysis of the game. It's a big joke there. They have the Celtics and the Red Sox so hockey is practically on the back burner.

Looks like that commentator still cant shake that clean hit out of his mind.

What a random comment to make.

With all of this tale of the tape stuff and the way these announcers go bonkers for a fight, you would think that the hockey game is a sideshow to the fighting itself.

obviously a wtf comment. I hope it gets a lot of exposure so that Edwards might get a clue that he's really pushing the lunatic boundaries. Maybe ends up in one of those "top 10 - werid homer announcer comments"

Last year, everyone LOVED Subban. This year, he lived up to expectations (although I think we're all moderating our praise until he works the kinks out) and everyone hates him. When's the last time we had a guy like that? Guess he's really that good!

I'm back to hating Boston with a passion topped with vitriolic hate sauce. Just when I thought we could be friendly rivals, very similar teams, no, their fanbase has to turn into the annoying little ***** that they are.

I think that's what surprised me even more. I was watching that game last night and was just entertained by Edwards' homer-like commentary on the fight. I was actually thinking what a job Brickley has to compensate for such a homer. No sooner did I think that and Brickley blurts that out of this mouth. I was kinda dumbfounded and thought maybe I heard wrong. But I guess I didn't.

I appreciate the talent that Subban is and the hard hitter that he is. I just hope it doesn't mean someone's going to retaliate against one of the skilled Habs players because of it. It's kinda why I wish he would tone down the attitude. Why motivate your competition even more. I don't know but Subban sure is ruffling the feathers here and everywhere. LOL

Does Don 'The Hypocrite' Cherry include Subbans monstrous hit on the next edition of Rock'em Sock'em? Yes or no.

Where's the "yes, he's a hypocrite, and he will add the hit" option?

Yes because Cherry only has his name on it for selling purposes. Other people put the videos together.

Ahhh NESN.

The only commentators in the NHL that get more excited about hits and fights than they do about nice goals and saves.

Racists.
