Tough stretch of games for Providence is over, they've lost 4 out of the last 5, including the last 3. Scoring seems to have dried up--and it won't be any easier with Hamill and Caron up in Boston.

Tough test Friday at home against Hershey, and then 7 games against divisional rivals before heading out to Abbotsford late in the month.

It wouldn't surprise me to see a couple forwards signed to PTOs this week.

Hope the boys can get back on track!

Losing Caron and Hamill has most definitely hurt.

I'll be going to see them Saturday.

It's not the AHL but at least Riendeau is back to scoring. They can use some of that in Providence right now.

No offense to anyone who sings the anthem, but they also choose like 2nd graders or kids who cant sing at all or dont know how to sing, hope your school is good, or they will go on my anthem list

It also says in the article that he's a healthy scratch tonight. I don't even consider him to be a prospect to be honest.

It's usually the worst part of the night. They also have to sing every patriotic song known to man so they can squeeze the cash box some more. God bless America!

P-Bruins lose 4-3

Bruins didn't help themselves by taking the first ten minutes off. They also gave up a friggin' shorty right at then end of the second. Too bad, because it was a spirited game otherwise in front of the biggest crowd this season.

Hershey could beat the bottom 4 teams in the NHL

4 Goals on 13 shots

During the Roussel/Bruess fight Roussel landed on the Hershey player bending his leg back and I believe he broke it

Sauve had a nice goal, skill and speed there in spades just needs more time to round out rest of his game, nice to see him in front of net talking a pounding but held his ground pretty well

Colborne does just enough to keep me interested, lost every faceoff but showed some hustle

Alexandrov was brutal, worst game I've seen him play, did not look comfortable at all tonight

Bodnarchuk- thought he did well, compete level was good

Arniel- showed his speed but skill was missing, looks worn down

MacDermid- I've said that Sauve is a lock to play in the NHL and I'll say this guy is the next closest they have down there, its going to be fourth line minutes but he plays his role very well and has some Sugar Shawn skills in him , earns his icetime

Cohen- I see the offensive part but he's got to think faster out there

Bartkowski another one that looks worn down, I believe he lost his man on the second goal

Goaltending was once again poor

Thought the team as a whole did well, battled hard and a pretty entertaining game

Maybe Rask will be sent down for conditioning

I think Hershey only had 15 shots on net all game max! Not a good GAA
Defence- move the puck! You cost us minimum 2 goals. 2 major turnovers at key times (5 seconds left in 2nd) really hurt. Why do the D shoot so much on the PP? Use the pp setup! Most of the shots are blocked or miss the net. Offense really sucks!

Colborne - Needs to move the puck faster, way too confident with the puck, lots of turnovers
Sauve- nice goal, not much else, long way from the big team
Defence- MOVE THE PUCK! Way too confident with the puck, especially on the pp. Too many shots blocked. Bods, Alex
Arniel- Looks frustated, not taking the shots he was at the beginning of the year.
Goaltending - No big saves, check the SOG
McGratton - Goal, big time fight. Tried to get it going. Good game
Rousell= Good job, tried to fire it up with a good scrap

From what I've seen and heard in a few years could we have a Heavy who is a PKer with the offensive upside of Shawny dangles this year? MacDermid is a really interesting prospect.

I don't know who taught MacDermid those moves, but he almost had a sweet goal last night identical to the one against Springy last Friday.

Anybody else going to the game in Springfield tonight? I'm thinking GloryDaze4877 will be but anybody else?

(I'm also sure that the world's biggest Habs fan will be there. The Roy jersey and Habs cap are a given...who wants to wager whether he'll bring the matching Crocs? It's going to be a bit chilly, so he might not.)

MacDermid and Sestito go 3 seconds in, dominant win for MacDermid...

Riendeau is IN tonight.

Lines:

MacDermid-Whitfield-MacDonald
Smotherman-Arniel-Reich
Sauve-Colborne-Ling
McGrattan-Roussel-Riendeau

Dalton in net.

Bruins killed off first penalty, but short again at 12:25.

Springfield gets a PP goal. PBees announcer is furious at the ref for not calling a penalty as MacDonald was being tied up in the Springfield zone while on the PK. I agree with him, for once.

Late in the first, PBees with zero shots on goal.

Bruins tie it up at 19:04, Whitfield gets it.

Bruins scored on half their shots!

Springfield up 2-1 early in the second. Sloppy work by the Bs in their own zone.

Make it 3-1. More bad work in their own zone. Team seems to be regressing.

Make that 4-1. Time to pull Dalton and the entire D for that matter.

If the Bs lose this one, I believe that 5 losses in a row. I know losing Hamill and Caron really hurts, but guys like Arniel and Reich need to score some goals. And most of the D is a mess tonight (Bodnarchuk and Cohen are -2 already).

Bruins had 2 PP in a row, moved the puck very well but were unable to capitalize.

Falcons' Wilson unable to score on penalty shot. Still 4-1. Schaefer is in and has made several good stops so far.

Sestito vs. McIver...well, we're winning the fights tonight.

Bruins give up a shortie, 5-1. Or something like that.

Brutal, brutal second period. Just a mess.

6-1 early in the third. No defense, no backchecking at all tonight.

6-2 now. Arniel with a goal.

FYI: Colborne and Bodnarchuk are both -4 tonight.

7-2 now. Springfield getting to all the rebounds. PBs absolutely getting hammered tonight.

MacDermid vs. Tarnasky..even at first, but MacDermid gets cut open and Tarnasky gets the takedown as well.

Wouldn't mind see McGrattan do something crzy right about now, to be honest...

Springfield scores again, 8-2.

McGratton some shoving with Byers but nothing comes of it. Yet. Couple of idiots in front of me heckling the Bs bench. Why am I always sitting near the morons?

Bruins tie it on the PP with just under a minute left. Whitfield on a rebound right in front.

Two of the three goals were on the juciest of juicy rebounds. Dalton's got to work on that.

Sestito just got pounded again, by McIver.

But on the plus side for Sestito, he's got two assists plus two fights. Two goals and he's got two Gordie Howe hatties. With the Bruins play that's very achievable.
