Whitfield's line will sit out tomorrow according to Rob Murray. He also said that Kampfer could be called back up to play against the Devils.
I'm curious to see how the Spooner line does

Nice.

I'd love some insight from anyone who attended the game tonight on how that line looked.

Wow, judging by the lines, it seems if Hamill was in the NHL he'd be centering the 8th line...Guess he's truly a waste..

Arniel takes an early interference penalty.

Hamill with a tripping penalty as well...Bruins on PK again.

Khudobin with some big saves on the PK.

Spooner and Knight had a good shift once things got back to five-on-five play.

Camper looks good as well.

Spooner draws a penalty...Bruins on PP.

On a side note, it's a real shame that the Bruins organization waited 3/4th of the year to get a real goalie...especially when many of us knew the team needed an upgrade back in November.

Knight gets a delay of game penalty late in the fist.

Second period starting, still 0-0.

Pirates score on their 4th PP of the night. 1-0.

Pirates score again quickly, 2-0.

Smotherman gets his 14th on a breakaway, 2-1. Arniel with an assist, his 50th point.

Bruins on a lengthy 5 on 3...good puck movement...but...no goal...but Caron tips one in for his 27th point in 48 games. 2-2.

Shots 22-14 Bruins.

Caron gets another one, assist from Knight. 3-2!

Bruins dominating the third, 4-2, now 5-2. Hamill and Chaput with 2 goals in 29 seconds!

Nice game so far...for the forwards, at least.

But...Pirates make it 5-4 on 2 quick goals...one a PP, the other on SH.

D inexperience really showing tonight.

Bruins hold on for 5-4 win...Caron missed an EN by an inch, he would have had a hattie.

Spooner/Knight/Camper all looked good for the most part.
Thanks for taking the time to update us on tonight's game.

Yeah, nice update Malt. Some of us are nowhere near Providence and appreciate the info.

How have guys like Button and Warsovsky looked?

went to the game and will post more later (actually pulling a double header today- Boston and then sitting with Glorydaze in Springfield for night cap)....was very impressed with both Spooner and Knight and will post more Sunday night after a three game look.

Sarah Connors and Kate were at the game and provide great insight in their blog...I believe they talked with both boys

http://www.somethingsbruin.net/provi...aders-5-4.html

Caron was on the line with Spooner and Knight and Cam Neely would have been jealous at how he played. Wow is all I can say how Caron looked.

Do come say hi if you get the chance. My son and I will be three rows behind the Providence bench, Section 10; we'll be there early for warmups. We'll both be wearing our Bruins caps, and I'll have big gold dangly earrings.

I see Spooner/Knight each picked up assists but stats don`t always tell the story, how did they look playing their first Pro game?? Where they hesitant, able to keep up with the play etc?...

I don't know about their first game, but after one period of their second I canreport they look pretty comfortable, on a line with Caron. Had a couple of chances. Chattering away on the bench (actually Spooner chattering, Knight listening). Scoreless game after one. Falcons has a goal disallowed due to high stick.

Bodnarchuk is playing forward tonight. Scores a goal with 8 seconds left in second period.

Bodnarchuk scores with 8 seconds left in the second. Nice rush down the left wing and cut toward the net. Might have deflected in off a defenseman; I couldn't tell for sure. 1-1 after two.

I was at the game last night, and that line was pure dangle, snipping magic. Spooner is a magician with the puck, and knight just knows where to be in front of the net at all times. Caron is NHL ready and should be with the big club next year, he has gotten bigger and stronger since being sent down.
It's a shame spooner and knight couldn't play with Providence next year, but all three have a legitimate shot at making the team next year.
