What the hell is Leblongue?

Its pronounced Leblan, the end is quiet. The N is also quiet, I don't really know how to explain it.

I'm expecting a lot of "Lob-lank" pronounciations from the locals. Particularly around my office.

We should upload sound files with the pronunciations for all the teams.

Maybe I'll do one for the German team.

If they can say Matt LeBlanc whitout butchering his name, why can't they say the same thing for a hockey player?

My last name is LeBlanc and I don't know why people have a hard time with a name that's so simple yet, a name like Papadopoulos is easier to say here in Montreal.

I'll be impressed when they stop pronouncing Claude as "Clod".

I was watching an NFL game once and there was a guy named Jacques and the announcer pronounced it hawk-wheeze... I really had to think about it to find out what he was saying.

I always find it odd that Gaudet is Goodey on the Island.
Always wanted to do a play-by-play between an Albert Co NB team and a Shediac area team.
Steeves to Steeves.... LeBlanc to Cormier broken up by Steeves....great save Babineau...........rebound taken by Geldart
Anyway I was just *****in' about LeBlahnK or LeBlongue or LeBahn.
Some make a big deal about MICdonald and MACdonald (McDonald, MacDonald)
My fav was always when UdeM played in the University Cup on how they butcherd Aigles Bleus....last few times they gave up and just said Moncton
It don't matter much really at least TSN got Couturier right

I watched the Hans play Florida a while ago and RDS guy kept calling McCabe Mackaby.
It took me a whole period to understand which player he was talking about.

Are you sure it was RDS? McCabe played for the Leafs for almost a decade. It's not like he's some obscure player to the RDS staff. Moreover, Pierre Houde is pretty nitpicking when it comes to name pronounciation.

Let me also ask what the hell "LeBlongue" is supposed to be.

Also, if you're going to get all nitpicky about the name, then you should know that it's "Leblanc" and not "LeBlanc".
