Kings seem to own the Avalanche lately, they haven't been able to figure out how to score against us and they don't knock us off the puck. Puck control is vital to the Kings offense and tonight the Kings controlled the puck for quite a bit. We took them out of their own game. Congrats to Quick on the shutout!

It was a dominant game by the Kings and I hope we play these guys in the playoffs.

Okay good game but last time we won 5-0 against a certain top team we lost the next game against a "bottom team" which never should have happen.

So as happy as I am for this win I am scared for the next game.

Lewis was just jumping on it a little to early in the PK and created two good chances for Avs, Browns pass to Kopi into the skates was more Kopi over skating it.

That is the only thing I would say was not exceptionally good otherwise perfect game.

Loved the confidence from Kopitar tonight. The guy looks so dangerous when he plays with confidence, just wish he would play like that all the time. He has been scoring all season but if he plays every game with the same amount of confidence and drive the net/shoot the puck mentality he played with tonight, he would be top 5 in the NHL.

Avs sucked and the Kings probably could have scored five more with all of the quality chances they got.

Doughty is back. He is playing calm instead of trying to force things and it's showing on both ends of the ice. Scuderi has played amazing this whole road trip, great to see him get the goal. Johnson has been rock solid as well.

Great game all around.

Actually I only noticed Brown being greedy on the PK after the Kings made it 3-0. Going for the strip and getting nothing, leading to Duchene being wide open in the slot and hitting the post.

BTW The longest non scoring streak in NHL ended?
Scuderi went 405 or was it 485 games without scoring? Avs announcers said something but I didn't catch it all.

Is this right?

Kings need to build off this win, its nice to end a road trip with a win and winning record on a five game roadie. I think the Kings will start their climb in the standings since we got a nice slate of home games coming up and we are 11-2 at home.

Hopefully they put together another impressive winning streak.

it's a long list isn't it.

At some point I am sure a couple of prospects will be moved to get an impact forward, but damn this is a nice problem to have.
No. actually this is why none of you are the Kings GM..

Look at the West standings...there is no bottom team, not really. Team no. 15 is Edmonton and they are 12-14. The West is BRUTAL this year, and since the Least is so weak in their "bottom" it does indeed look more and more that a team with 100 points or more may not make the playoffs.

And that would be a sin.

What a win. Was pissed NHL on the Fly didn't have Kings highlights before I had to go to work. Just kept talking about the Winter Classic.

The Kings are really turning it up. When healthy, they're gonna be an offensive force if they keep running four lines. We still need a first LW, and hopefully we can get a first liner at the trade deadline, but for right now we'll be good if we can play to our potential.

Brown is having a breakout season. His move on his second goal was something I hadn't seen in some time. He usually goes down the side and just shoots. This time Lewis helped him out, he moved into the center and blasted it home. If he keeps this up, he might be looking at a 70+ point season and proving he's capable of being our 1st line winger for the years to come.

Oh, and Quick is really good.

Hopefully the NHL doesn't screw us at the ASG and we get at least three people in. Kopitar and Quick should be locks. Williams/Brown both deserve to have a chance with how they're playing. Doughty might get chosen just because he's Drew Doughty.

Kings wanna get screwed...let the fans vote in every player from the big market teams...let the Kings players have a few days rest, and not have to fly across the country.

I don't see how it is possible that they will hang onto all of them unless we can sign a UFA this summer and Lombardi lets all of his vets walk.

It may happen. I suppose it all depends on the development of the youngsters.

Just took a quick peep and I was not aware that it was such a difference between east and west. East sucks

Don't post much, but read often. What's better than shutting out the top scoring team in their barn while they were on a tear? Watching it again on Aves TV at a bar in CO.

Priceless
