doubt they move any of those players...but i'd be perfectly happy with any of them.

always envisioned Hanzal and Kulemin together.

Wolski is just meh this season...and makes quite a chunk of $$, so they may move him for all i know?

Turris, i don't think they;re giving up on yet. still lots of potential there. same with Boedker, unless it's overpayment.

Yandle is a beast. they'd be foolish to move him.

I can see Burke and Lou Lam making this trade.
At what cost though? More future .. which is something Burke pointed out in the article that he doesn't want to do.

While I wouldn't put it past Burke to make such a deal, I think he wants to aim for someone younger. Personally I wouldn't be shocked to see someone like Joffrey Lupul taken back in a deal in hopes he can regain his scoring form. He's 27 (I think) and has some decent size to him. But he also faded last time he was in a Canadian market so who knows how he'd play here.

I think bringing in a veteran would certainly help this team (especially in the forward ranks), but I'm not sure I'd be willing to fork out the assets to acquire him .. then again I'm not Burke.

GM's are always looking at ways to make their team better, maybe he can't get the things done you'd like, but I am sure he's not oblivious to whats taken place and is looking for help.

You need trade partners, and not to trade for the sake of change.
That's funny because I'm pretty sure that is what Burke is going to end up doing by picking up someone like Langenbrunner. Unless, Langenbrunner is supposed to help us out in the long run with our rebuild.

He's not gonna trade our young guys like Kadri and Schenn. He said that in the TSN article a week ago.

i hope all three stay as far away from the Leafs as possible. big no thanks to all of them.

we need a big guy up front with experience who can win some battles and provide some offense. Malone, Langenbrunner, Clowe, etc. fit the bill.

Watch Burke land Taylor "The Pylon" Pyatt from Phoenix and tell us he is a power forward.....for a pick or prospect + beachimen. That's all Burke is capable of...

Maybe Tanguay (big, but soft as hell.)

Or Jussi Jokinen would be a great pickup from Carolina. Although they look to be forreal so he'll probably stay there. (pending UFA)

Matt Moulson? Who knows.

Although most of those names probably come at the expense of our future.

he's a vet with a cup ring who can bring in leadership. he's also not that expensive and is capable of 60pts. he also doesn't shy away from the physical stuff...plus we can hopefully dump a Dman in the process.

I hope u mean in terms of assets and not Burke himself. A lot of people are being blinded by us sucking. Yes its his fault. Yes the Kessel deal is starting to hurt. But my goodness you guys are acting like anything he will do will be awful. Remember the Phaneuf deal? Like ya Burke has made bad deals, but hes capable of making good deals too. I don't think he's as dumb as most think, its just losing exaggerrates everything, as does winning.

Agreed.

The last thing the Leafs need are more underachieving and overpaid floaters.

You see now thats crazy talk. Your aren't being a Leaf Nation realist right there.

Burke did not trade Seguin and Couturier for Kessel. He traded Potential Seguin and Potential Couturier for Kessel.

Burke has Kadri as an asset, not as a potential.

You guys act like he will trade any young asset for some old crappy fart. If we already had Seguin and Couturier, do you think Burke would trade them for Kessel? Of course not. Thats what a Kadri for Frolov would suggest.

The Leafs have enough decent top six players. They have one of the better second lines in the league (the Grabovski line) but since Sundin's departure still desperately need top-line talent.
