The Flames are like a wounded dog right now, which can be either very dangerous for the oppostion, or very good. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess the latter. The Flames have started to show signs of folding in the last 2 games. Who can blame them? With all the uncertainity that follows this team on a day to day basis, I don't know who could play up to their potenial under those circumstances...well Olli Jokinen seems to be.

Someone has to sit. Might as well be the rookie. We wouldn't want to hurt his confidence or anything.

My thought exactly! Maybe Sutter is shopping him around.

As for the game really don't see us winning, I think Dallas has one of the most wins in the league and have lost only 3 games at home this year.

Maybe it will be a Festivus Miracle, and Backlund will play after all?

Not until Backlund and Moss go at it in the Feats Of Strength.

Honestly it has come to the point where I want the Flames to keep losing just so we can get those retard Sutters out. Why the hell do you keep your best young prospect sitting in the pressbox? Please get Courtier!

I think 95% of Flames fans feel this way. We all know the playoffs are out of the question. But the LAST thing we need is to finish 9th or 10th. The pure thought of it makes me sick to my stomach.

4-2 Dallas.

Calgary will play hard for 15 minutes, someone will get a bad penalty, and that will be that.

Yep, exactly. I'll be far more pissed off if we finish 9th or 10th than dead last. This season is a write-off, and it's time to look to the future. This organization needs a top 3 pick this year (and a new GM). Even at this point, I'd take a top 3 pick over the playoffs. If we made it in to the playoffs by some miracle, we'd be getting swept in the first round anyways. I've had enough of this band-aid BS. If we're gonna fail, let's at least benefit from it until we have a team that can compete.

This is ridiculous. Backlund is sitting again. Enough is enough. We ****ing suck, at least let Backlund develop. I'm tired of the Sutters' ****; i want both of them gone ever so badly.

The Sutters' approval rating in the town has to be nearing zero. Why the owners haven't responded, I really don't know. ANYTHING would be better than this team.

I totally agree with you. This team needs to fail big time in order to get a high draft pick and force the owners to clean house. it is time to think about the future and stop living in the past. D. Sutter is not the man for the job.

Sutter is probably worried about hurting the egos of the Glencrosses of this team who respond horribly to getting benched. Admittedly they shouldn't be getting benched. With a healthy roster we have too many NHL forwards. Looking past all the fire Sutter stuff, he should really make a minor move trading one of our surplus forwards for a low draft pick... Moss is an obvious candidate.

It's christmas and all the Calgarians are in town but no one wants to watch the game tonight. Call them bandwagon fans but I agree; if we aren't winning, I'm not watching. It is no fun to watch your team lose.

At this point I feel we are so far out of the picture that we are better off losing than winning.

It's a financial decision. Backlund is sitting because he makes less than everyone else... wait... no... he doesn't!! Stupid ****ing Sutters.

Words can't express the rage I am feeling at this current moment.

But I'm still gonna throw on the jersey and go watch the game and have a few Christmas beers. I will support this team regardless but **** am I pissed.

I'll still be watching the game, no doubt about it. I'm just not expecting a win.
