11 of Next 13 on Home Ice

7 of the 13 are divisional games.

Needless to say, this next stretch will determine whether we have a shot at the playoffs.

Any predictions?

In typical Panthers fashion, I'll say 5-7-1 during this stretch.

This stretch is huge. Could definitely make or break our season.

Most certainly. Since we're on a bit on a hot streak lately, we all know what's going to probably, but hopefully not happen once they come back from the holiday break. A two or three game losing streak. I'm going to just go out on a limb and predict we go 6-6-1 and stay right around 10th or 11th in the East.

We will win at least zero and no more than 13 of these games...

I say we go 10-3-0 ... And continue the whole season without an overtime loss

just read this on espn ...

11. Florida Panthers, 33 GP, 32 points -- Interestingly, the folks at Sports Clubs Stats give the Panthers the highest probability of the non-playoff teams in the East at the Christmas break, at 39.1 percent. No question, I think Peter DeBoer is one of the best coaches in the NHL and squeezes every drop of talent out of his limited roster. What better chance to make hay than right after the Christmas break with the Panthers playing their next eight games against teams ahead of them in the East, including the first three versus Montreal, Boston and the New York Rangers?

We've been playing well. I think we will go 8-5 during this stretch. We need to win 11 of the 13 to sniff the playoffs, imo.

We play Boston, and then 6 games in 9 days including Montreal, Rangers, Atlanta, and Washington. Then to finish off the stretch we play games including the Caps and Thrashers again, and Tampa and Nashville. I doubt we even go .500.

This is exactly how I've felt about all the DB naysayers. I think he's a pretty darn good coach given the lack of talent he has to work with. I see us being a .500 to the end though and highly doubt this team can make a playoff run. Nobody has the potential to just start lighting it up with any consistency on this team, and that ultimately is going to be the downfall of yet another season.

That's exactly how I feel. It's like being pissed at NASA for not getting us to Pluto, when we can't even get to Mars.

I don't see how people are upset at PDB for not getting us to the playoffs when nobody would even begin to say our team resembles a playoff squad. (More of a reference to the poll votes in the other thread)

I think we will start out on a downer and lose the 1st one back but will then get hot again. In the end I think we'll go 9-4-0 on this stretch and finish it just short of 10wins even with having a shot at it that last game.

Best player during the stretch will be Vokoun as he will have a shutout streak of over 100min somewhere in this stretch of games to steal a couple wins. And even though the Booth-Weiss-Frolik line will be good I predict the better line during this stretch will end up being the line of Matthias-Reasoner-Dadanov!

In order to have whip cream, you have to whip it for at least 10 minutes with a regular whisk.
Unfortunately, you cannot see any results for about 9 minutes and 30 seconds and right when you are about to give up because you are not able to see the fruits of your labor, suddenly "poof", the cream becomes whipped and unctuous.

Who's being unrealistic now?!?!? LOL!

Actually 8-5 might be possible...but still maybe like 5-8? Only time will tell...

Also...SI, ESPN, even the Hockey News....ZERO credibility as far as periodicals & hockey go IMO. "Sidney Crosby, alex ovechkin blah blah"

We've had a good start as we are 2-0-2 after the first 4 games.

5-3-5. 15 points in the 13 games.

Time to start selling.
