Looking for Lines and Jersey numbers for Team CCCP 1980

I'm hoping that the Russian hockey fans on this forum can help me find some info I've had difficulty tracking down on the Soviet national team of the late 1970s and early 1980s and specifcally the 1980 Olympic team.

The Jersey numbers I'm looking to confirm are for: Aleksandr Skvortsov, Valdimir Golikov and Aleksandr Golikov. I think these are 27, 23 and 25 respectively, but would like to confirm this as I find the Golikovs listed either way on the web.

Prehaps more difficult to determine would be what lines and defensive pairings did coach Tikhinov most prefer to employ for that tournament? My guess with jersy #'s is:

Line 1: #17 Kharlamov-LW - #16 Petrov-C - - #13 Mikhailov-RW
Line 2: #9 Krutov-LW - #22 Zhlutkov-C - #24 Makarov-RW
Line 3: #25? A.Golikov-LW - #23? V.Golikov-C - #10 Maltsev-RW
Line 4: #27? Skvortsov-LW - #11 Lebdev-C - #19 Balderis-RW

Pair 1: #2 Fetisov-LD - #7 Kasatonov-RD
Pair 2: #12 Starikov-LD - #6 Vasiliev-RD
Pair 3: #5 Pervukhin-LD - #14 Bilyaletdonov-RD

Goalie 1: #20 Tretiak
Goalie 2: #1 Myshkin

Please let me know what corrections should be made.

Thank you,
-Theo

The lines were this:

Kharlamov - Petrov - Mikhailov
Skvortsov - Zhluktov - Balderis
Golikov - Golikov - Makarov
Krutov - Lebedev - Maltsev

Skvortsov replaced Kapustin who was injured.

Thanks for the information Zine.

Was Kapustin the regular on that line for Red Army Moscow?

I was also curious about Tretiak only playing in 4 of 7 games compared to 5 of 7 for Myshkin. I read that Tretiak may have been playing hurt during the games? Either way, I presume it was a surporse to see Myshkin having better stats for the series than Tretiak?

Kapustin - Zhluktov - Balderis played together in the CSKA and national team from 1976 to 1980. It was probably the best line in the Soviet Union in the late 1970's. In 1980-1981 season the line was broken up when Balderis returned to Dynamo Riga and Kapustin went to play for Spartak Moscow.

In Spartak Kapustin played in an equally good line of Kapustin, Sergei Shepelev and Viktor Shalimov. That line played together from 1981 to 1986. Kapustin-Shepelev-Shalimov could have been the best line in the world in the 1980-1981 season. The KLM line did not yet play together in that season.

Kapustin-Shepelev-Shalimov did not become a long standing great line, as Kapustin was 27, and Shalimov was 29, when the line was first formed in 1980. Shepelev was a little younger, 25, but he never was the same after Kapustin and Shalimov retired from national team. Shepelev did not make the national team after 1984 Canada Cup.

But from 1980 to 1982 this line was as good as any line in the world. I have watched many video tapes from their game and I love the way they played the game. Kapustin-Shepelev-Shalimov was also instrumental in the 1981 Canada Cup victory with Shepelev scoring a natural hat trick in the final game.

4th line was Krutov-Maltsev-Lebedev with Maltsev playing center not Lebedev.

Yes I think so Kiluj. He has an entry on wikipedia form the 1980 Olypic teams rosters. Here is the one for Zinetula:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zinetula_Bilyaletdinov

It mentions:
Quote:
Won the Russian Championship in season 2005-06 and consequtive European Champions Cup-2007, as well as the history's first KHL Gagarin Cup as a head coach for Ak Bars Kazan.

In case you haven't found it yet, Chidlovski's Hockey CCCP International site is pretty useful, if you're looking for Team USSR's rosters/lines/goal-scorers in various tournaments/games. For example, here is (link to) USSR's roster from the infamous Miracle on Ice game:
http://www.chidlovski.net/1954/54_ga...sp?gm_id=gm556

There you can see the goaltender(s), defensive pairings, forward lines and coaches (from top to bottom).

In the 1978 World Championships and possibly in some more insignificant single tournaments, yes, but overall Mikhailov-Petrov-Kharlamov was ARGUABLY still the best Soviet line in the late 70s; certainly in the 1979 WC and, production-wise at least, in the 1977 WC too. Kharlamov was not the same player as he had been after 1976, but on the other hand, Petrov and especially Mikhailov were playing probably the best hockey of their lives in the late 1970s. Only around Lake Placid were they finally past their primes.
