I think we really got after them and really took the game to them, and we were doing all the right things and managed to score a few goals."

You never know what’s going to happen. Every game is a game you have to win to separate yourself from the other teams. Because of that rivalry with the Ducks, obviously they want to punish us, we want to punish them. That’s pretty much how the game is played when we play them. They’ve got a lot of offensive talent on that team so you always have to be careful with them."

I feel pretty good. Obviously, I think the team has been playing with a lot of intensity. We want to win every game and I think it shows in the room. Everyone is more confident now."

Our goalie coaches were around for a while and he spent some time with them and he made some adjustments technically. He had a big win against Nashville and he had a big win here again tonight. So I will get back to looking at him more, to get back in our rotation. Quick is still going to play the majority of the games, but I have always felt confident in Bernier. I just want to put him in the right situation so he can be successful as a young guy in the National Hockey League. This is a solid game by Bernier, no question. That team has some big players and very high-skill guys. That Getzlaf line has scored more than 50 percent of their goals, so there is a lot of pressure coming at you with that line in particular in our D zone and I thought he was very comfortable. He was very aggressive on the puck and held his ice, played strong in the crease against those big bodies that were jamming away several times. It was a real important game for us, when you have a couple days off like this and only a couple of points separating us in the conference standings, and this gives us some separation and we still have five games in hand on them."

LET'S GO KINGS !!!

- Next HOME Game -

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

VS. SAN JOSE ALL-TIME:
Overall: 47-50-14
Home: 28-21-6
Road: 19-29-8
Last 10: 4-4-2
Last 10 home: 3-6-1
Last 10 road: 4-4-2
OT Record: 6-9-7
Streaks: Kings have lost 3 straight to SJ overall (since 1-11-10);
Kings have earned points (2-1-2) in 4 of their last 5 in SJ (since 3-14-09)

Kings looking for a Quick turnaround
http://espn.go.com/blog/los-angeles/...ick-turnaround
Quote:
The last time the Kings traveled to San Jose they were riding a six-game winning streak and the Sharks stopped them in their tracks with a 6-3 victory. That marked the beginning of a stretch in which Los Angeles lost seven of eight. The difference this time is the Kings will have their No. 1 goalkeeper, Jonathan Quick, minding the net. Quick has allowed just three goals in two games at HP Pavilion and stopped 45 shots in his last game there, a 6-2 victory in January.

I hate playing the Sharks just because of their scary offense, it is a good bench test for our defense though. Hopefully Quick didn't lose a step over the Christmas break and our guys are fresh and ready to skate hard tonight coming off a strong win yesterday. Can't take any days off, it is a long stretch till the playoffs filled with an abundance of games like these. GO KINGS!

I don't think OT is long enough for a Smyth "rush".

I'm going with the key to tonight's game is the SJ PP vs. the Kings PK. The SJ PP is deadly and the road Kings PK is terrible.

The Kings are better 5-on-5 and they need to avoid stupid penalties, like too many men on the ice penalties.

In n Out is opening up in Dallas this year! Can't wait!

Del Taco is already open in Texas, but it is 26 miles away from me. I've already been there twice this month.
