You won't find "leadership" in a single one of my posts above. I wanted him for a boost in points and that is all. Veteren Play yes, leadership no. If you don't have leadership before the deadline it doesn't matter.
And anyone who doesn't put about 90% of the blame on Patty for that atrocious play at the end of that game and the other on an asleep Nabby has serious Patty blinders on. Simple as that. I don't care what Wilson said. Was BG slightly out of position on that play? Perhaps. The point is, there shouldn't have even been a play if it weren't for Marleau's choice on the boards.
To be fair, LZ, Marleau screwed up big time and should take some heat over it....however, it's all irrelevant if Rissmiller dumps the puck into the zone instead of making a ****ing stupid "what on God's earth are you doing?!!?!??!?!?!" drop pass at the blue line.
Might as well bump this. Langs has reportedly been traded but it's unclear where to. McKenzie on twitter claims Sharks, Stars and Blues most likely destinations.

It appears Jamie Langenbrunner is not playing tonight for the Devils. There is no equipment in his locker stall. A possible trade?

Honestly, it depends on the return. I think Ferriero's outlived his usefulness on that line and replacing him with Langenbrunner wouldn't be the worst thing in the world as long as we're not giving up high-end picks or prospects to do so (and I'd assume the return to NJ will be modest, regardless of the trade partner).
My guess is Dallas because of the likely relationship with Nieuwendyk. Although their top six is pretty set so I guess he'd slot in on the third line and provide some depth scoring in the playoffs.
Yeah, St Louis. Nashville robbed Svatos from them. They need a top-6.
No playoff team should be trading for Langenbrunner with the intention of putting him in the top six. He's done as a scorer in this league even at the 2nd line level. He'd be a quality add to a 3rd line that you intend to make a shutdown line. That's why I think the Sharks should be interested in Langenbrunner.
Langenbrunner-Pavelski-Mitchell would be a very good defensive line with the potential to have the odd scoring touch. If the Sharks can move Huskins and a 2nd to acquire Langenbrunner, I'd be for it. It also allows Justin Braun to be called back up and the D pairings were at their best with him up and Wallin away from Vlasic.

In the theoretical situation where he was traded to Dallas my guess is he would probably slot in on the 2nd line with Ribs and Morrow, taking Benn's spot. Ribs really likes to have a right shot on his line and Dallas has 2 right shots Segal and Burish, both have been tried on Ribs line and obviously failed. Plus Ribs runs a slow pace so Jamie wouldn't have issue keeping up.

I disagree. He put up 20 goals, 60 points just last year. He put up 30 goals 70 points a year before that. He's having a terrible year because the Devils are a terrible team.

Sounds like #Devils Langenbrunner will be scratched from the line-up tonite. Add #Flyers in the mix of teams who may have interest.

Langenbrunner listed as a healthy scratch.
Jamie Langenbrunner reportedly not in building and waiting to be traded.

It's hard to really gauge how interested San Jose would be-- Langenbrunner is a guy whose stock has fallen quite a bit this season.
He'd improve secondary scoring, but San Jose has enough offensive talent to go around on paper. Langenbrunner isn't a game changer at all.
San Jose's cap space is a precious commodity at this point. They can get under by demotion to the AHL, but after that, space is tapped.

IMO, Sharks could really use a winger for the 3rd line with Pavelski, so Langenbrunner would be a perfect fit. Cap space is an issue though.
Please not the Sharks. We're very tight on cap space now, and he isn't what we need.
Seems like I'm also in the minority, but he would help their depth and I'm not against it depending on who is being sent the other way.
Third line at the moment: Mitchell - Pavelski - Setoguchi. And if the Sharks eventually send Ferriero back down, it has a chance to be
McGinn - Mitchell - Setoguchi. Pretty mediocre if you ask me...
Depending on who would be sent in the trade, there is a possibility of a third line of: Langenbrunner - Pavelski - Setoguchi. That looks a whole lot better than what the Sharks are dressing right now.
Though in the end, my bet is that he goes to the Blues.
