Either I’m thinking he’s going to do it too early, and I’m going too fast, or he flips it on a second too late and it ends up being an icing. Tonight we both were on the same page with that flip, and he put it right there. I think we did a lot of the same things, really. We were peppering Niemi all night and he was making some big saves through traffic. We had a prime scoring chance on that first one, and we just beat him straight up. That was probably a tough save for him to try to make. When you get that many shots, and you’re testing a goalie that often, we got that first goal and maybe broke his will a little bit."

We played well, and we didn’t give them much defensively and we scored some big goals. Niemi played really well for them and kept them in there for two periods, but we did a good job of not getting frustrated and sticking to what we were doing right, and we got the bounces in the third there. Well like I said, we played well here tonight, but it’s a very competitive conference and every point is going to matter at the end of the season. It’s going to take 98, 99 points, possibly, just to get into the playoffs, so those games in hand, they don’t mean anything unless we win the games. So we’re going to continue with this momentum, bring it to Phoenix and hopefully get two points there."

There’s still some room for improvement, of course, with Marco getting to know me and Brownie a little bit more, and just reading off each other a little bit more, but I thought the offensive zone was pretty good. We were cycling the puck pretty good. We were holding onto it and making plays, so that’s encouraging."

It just kind of stayed in my feet, and I got up and Lewie was wide open. He did a great job. We had a lot of great chances in the first and second, but nothing was going in. We stuck with it, and that’s always a good thing. Sometimes that can go the other way, where you get a lot of chances and they end up scoring, but Quickie was great, and obviously we got that first one in and kind of went from there."

The second period, we fell off it a little bit. We had a big (penalty) kill at the start of the second period. I thought we fell off our game a little, with skating and just doing the right things. Or doing the same things, I guess, that we were doing in the first. But we got it back, and then in the third period, you just keep going with it and you’re hoping something breaks, something gives. And it does, and you go from there."

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

I just hope for one thing, the Kings to light up Jason LaBarbera. Remember guys, pull the puck laterally and shoot high, it always works.

I hope they are focused on tonight's game and not looking at tomorrow's game against Philly.

The Coyotes speed usually causes problems. The Kings need to come out hitting hard in the first 10 minutes.

Tonight's game is far more important in terms of standings. Getting 2 points is always important, but getting 2 points against a conference and division rival is huge. We were good at the start of the year when they beat us, but we've taken it to the next level in the last 6 games. Like the last game, I have a feeling the Kings will be ready for this one.

I suggest going to Five Guys Burgers. It is not the same, but a fine choice for the In-N-Out deficient.
I almost posted a picture but decided not to for team reasons.

I know what an In-n-Out is, I used to live in Glendale, there's one just a block away from the Americana going up but I didn't see the connection with the Kings. Never ate there, tho, I'm not much of a fast food fan.

Just roll with it, man.

It's like when the Kings win while you're wearing opposite colored socks. You don't just stop wearing opposite colored socks.

Jarret Stoll ate a Double Double the other night between OT and the Shootout and then scored the game winner.

I'll gladly take two wins The Philly game will be a great test for us coming off of a back to back and against one of the better teams in the league. But really the team should be focusing on getting the win tonight against a division team that hasn't been playing that hot in the last 6 or so games. We're on a bit of a streak, and we should take that momentum into tonight's game. I expect Phoenix to come out hitting hard to take us off our game and prevent us from getting a good start. I would love to see us put together a solid win tonight with our big players getting a lot of minutes, and then roll four lines tomorrow against the Flyers.
