At the start of last year, he made the Hawks and managed some PP time in the hand full of games he played before being sent to Norfolk? The coaching staff must have say something in Training camp.
For 2005 with a healthy Daze and Ruutu expected to get loads of ice time, will Vorobiev have a chance of cracking the top 2 lines? Can anyone who watched him in Norfolk comment on any developments he made by spending a season in the AHL? Was there any improvement?
If he can get 1st line ice time could he be a Calder candidate?
Depends on whether or not the hawks sign a good winger. They have 5 decent forwards with Tiny, Daisy, Arnie, Bell and Calder to fill 6 slots. Since we all know the hawks won't be signing anybody all that great (I got a hunch about Hull tho) If he proves himself he could play 2nd line with Bell or Calder.
With half the AHL schedule now over, can some Norfolk fans provide some info on Pavel's season and/or progress. I have not sen him play this year but I have noticed an increase in his scoring production over the past 3 weeks. Is he getting more ice time or just playing better?
Any comments from those who have watched him would be appreciated.
P.S. After watching Barker and Seabrooke in the WJC, I think Hawks fans have plenty to look forward to. Eventhough Seabrooke was hurt, i thought he looked great.
Rene Bourque was destined to be a Hawk. He's big, skilled and his name starts with a "B"... Brown, Barker, Bickell, Burish, Barinka, Brodeur, Berard, Brouwer, Byfuglien, Barnaby, Berti, Babchuk, Bolland, Bell.... BOURQUE!
