Oren Eizenman in Hartford

I see that Hartford signed Oren Eizenman. He was once a first line player for RPI in college. In his junior year, I actually had him on my radar to be signed after he graduates because he had over a point per game in division I hockey and was not yet a senior. I was hoping, he'd hit at least 1.3 points per game in his senior year. Instead, he dropped off a little bit to 0.82 points per game.

He's got decent size and he dominated in the ECHL, so I was wondering if anyone caught any of his games in Hartford since he was signed. How is he doing? What line is he playing with? 2nd? 3rd? 4th? Who are his linemates? Is he worth signing?

Well, I played opposite him a couple times if that helps.

Not big or small, pretty average in every sense of the word. Meat and potatoes dump and chase player, not overtly flashy. Don't remember much beyond that. Hadn't heard his name in 5 years.

Awards:
We discussed him when he was signed in either the prospects or AHL thread. He's nothing special.

Grumet-Morris, on the other hand, deserves a much better look than he has been getting.

Yup, and both played for the Israeli National Hockey Team. (The other one is Ethan Werek.) Who needs QMJHL when you have the Israel Hockey League...

At what level did you play against him? In college? High school?

College.

He is a career minor leaguer, wouldnt look for much from him. We have 4th line bodies cycling and fluctuating through Hartford on a regular basis.

He's really just a good hustle AHL player. In that role, I like him. He can stay here in Hartford as far as I'm concerned.
