Nice to see Dubinsky bounce back. Volchenkov nailed him hard.

Best part of this game was watching how excited the Devils announcers and fans were in proclaiming this the best game of the season by NJ. And how easily the Rangers beat them with a half hearted lackluster performance.

Was it really an easy win? We looked to be on the ropes for much of the game. And our goals were pretty flukey.

On a different note, Sam mentioned that Parise is one of the top 5 players in the NHL. I admit he's good, but is he that good?

Rangers rookie first 35 minutes off except for Hank. After that, they calmed everything down and played much better

its debatable, he's managed to hang around the top 5-10 in scoring while playing for a team that has consistently finished in the bottom half in scoring. He's a great player, i'd give both of rosi's right arm, one of drury's hands even the good one and both of gabby's hamstrings just to get a chance to get him in a nyr uni..

That would be the same guy who accused us of trapping in 3rd period.

It's a long way up from 30th.

BTW....if the Rangers had a lame theme like Rise Up Devils Army and 8 scantily clad Snookie look alikes dancing during stoppages, I would be irritated too.

I hate the Devils and their fans. It looks like most of them have accepted the tanking season, too. Good on them.

So true.

The Hank Effect Win. All because of him and a great overall defense - looking away from the Devils first goal. They cleared the crease pretty well and got the sticks on the puck when it even got close.
Eminger really stood out in my eyes, in a good way.

Rangers did not deserve 2 points tonight. Henrik stole us a win.

question guys. has the league stated that it will wait until after the playoffs to determine if they will take away NJ's first round pick in the draft this year?

This was the first time in a while, where I felt like no matter how bad we played we were going to win in regulation. Probably because it was against the Devils. Whatever, it was still a nice feeling.

they didn't play great, but i wouldn't go that far. they tightened up
at the end and marty had to make a few big saves as well.

good teams find a way to win.

NJ gets to decide which of its next 4 first round picks it will forfeit. What a stupid penalty imo. If the punishment was a 1st rounder it should have been this years (2011.) The NHL is just dumb. Anyway, looks like the Devils won't be giving up this one. lol

We did the same thing last season, but with a better record.

A goalie's job is to keep his team in the game; Give his team a chance to win. He's gone above and beyond since day 1. He's an absolute superstar worthy of his nickname. As valuable as almost any player in the league. When he has an off-night, Ranger fans should look in the mirrow and ask themselves how capable they are at their much, much, much easier profession.

Team battled tonight though. Rough 1st period, but they came to play. I think the Devils would have outplayed almost any team tonight after what they just went through. Not too concerned about that. Not taking anything way from Hank, but I think the Win was deserving.
