Well, this made Kassian's hit look pretty tame in comparison. Not only is this hit way later than Kassian's, it's much higher and an attempt to injure.

Hopefully someone can upload a video of it, because it was a pretty disgusting, cowardly hit.

I would not be surprised to see Marincin suspended for the entire tournament for that display.

Any news about Zucker?

I heard he has a possible concussion. Hopefully it's not true...

He looked completely out of it after the hit. Like on another planet. I really hope the kid is OK, because the team cannot afford to lose any more players.

Was helped off by, I believe, a trainer and a player. Kid looked like his eyes were rolling around in his head and that he was still out on his feet when he was taken off.

Clear intent to injury. I'm pretty confident he won't see the ice any more this tournament. Unless of course they go the NHL route, and if Zucker is ok then he won't get more then a game.

Wasn't Zucker involved a bit hit last year too?

The guy just can't catch a break.

That was stupid... I mean... Slovakia will need Marincin (and everything they have) against Switzerland. Is it their next game? Because both Marincin and Hrasko will miss next game, and Marincin might miss a few others.

I wouldn't be surprised if Zucker played or if he was gone for a while. Concussions are a tricky, tricky thing.

Marincin should be gone for the tournament for sure, though. I think he at least gets the extra game plus probably one more at the bare minimum.

100% intent to injure. Zucker was completely out of it. There was no need for that, at all.

Makes the Team USA selfishness look silly in comparison. To go out there and do that as one of your team's only good decent players when you are potentially going to be in the relegation round is just stupid.

Cowardly hit? this coming from a guy with a Avery sucker punch in his avatar.

How was it not a cowardly hit? Avery has never been suspended for on ice play. He has never done anything like what Marincin did on the ice tonight. Keep grasping at straws.

I havent seen both but could you guys rank the hits in order of most blatant to least blatant.

a) Marincin on Zucker
b) Kassian on Senerik
c) Hrasko on D'Amigo

I'm guessing TSN will show the terrible hit soon.

I think I'm going to make the video if there's no other video.

That would be the correct order, to me.

This is unfortunate. Hopefully the player is fine.

For the record though...Marincin isn't some goon. He has been the best Dman in the WHL this season. He's also a twig that isn't known for having a physical game.

I never saw the hit so i can't comment on it but i find it ironic that a guy with a cowardly Avery sucker punch in his avatar so disgusted by cowardly hit.

You mean the punch where the guy dropped his gloves but got hit first, right? Not the time and place for that, but the NHL saw nothing wrong with the fight, other than Avery getting the jump and the first punch in.

Saw the replay on Hockeystreams.com - meh, it was cheap but didn't look nasty like Kassian's. Marincin is so tall and Zucker turned into. I'm going to call it "Marincin Physics"

All this whining about karma is funny. If it were true, Matt Cooke and Patrice Cormier wouldn't be playing. I'm guessing one or two game suspension at most.

Did you actually see how long after the play was over he ran Zucker? He also targeted the head, unlike Kassian. This was pure attempt to injure -- again, unlike Kassian's hit.
