Alright ladies and gents, I'm coming to my very first game on Sunday. What do I need to know? I'll be looking up tickets when I get home, who's got the best pitch for why their section is the best? And I know the R Bar is the place to be, but my dad's coming with me and I don't know if I'll be able to convince him to go.

Location depends on what you like and what you want to spend. Upper bowl has great sightlines and is easier to see how plays develop. Not as easy to see faces and hear players talk on ice. Sitting low near the glass gives you an appreciation of how fast and big these guys are, etc.

Aren't you a student? If so look at the Rush student ticket prices on CBJ website.

I read the camera policy at Nationwide and it basically said no pro cameras and i think no separate lenses for the camera et al. Anyone know how strictly they enforce this? I have one of the new Sony Nex (5n) cameras that I would like to bring in, but it does have a rather large lens on it. It's certainly not professional, but it's not really a point and shoot either. Looks pretty much like this:

Think it'd be allowed in??

I was yelled at for taking pictures during a pre game skate in Buffalo one time... but I took all the pictures I wanted in Philly and no one cared. I'd say, if you can get your camera in the Arena take all the pictures you want but be discreet, basically hide the big camera and don't act professional...

Does anyone have any tickets to the home opener for sale? I'd like to take my wife for a night out without our daughter and thought I'd check here first before going to Ticketmaster or Ebay. Respond here or message me.

Damn...in years past I would say yes to you Kev.... this season I'm lucky to be going myself. Check stubhub, there are plenty of good seats there.

I just used StubHub and got two tickets in Club 8 for far below face value. Not quite two for one, but fairly close. I can live with that price.

Things will change but for now, some of the best seats in the NHL can be found in Nationwide on Stubhub... one can get center ice seats in Nationwide for a fraction of the cost in places such as New York City, Boston or Toronto..

Just sayin...

Offering two of the best seats in the arena to the games listed below. Asking for $75/PAIR, which is my cost. Seats are in Section 205, Row A, which are Front Row Upper Bowl seats in the CBJ Attack Twice zone. You can see the entire ice, unlike many lower bowl seats where glass/boards/team benches obstruct views of on ice action. Additionally, you can enjoy game without interruptions from vendors or late arriving fans.

I can e-mail tickets or meet up prior to a CBJ game to swap. I can accept Paypal. I've only listed games through December. If you have an interest in a game after the New Year, let me know and I'll see if I have it available. If you are looking for four tickets together for a game, let me know which game and I'll check availability from my ticket partners who own two seats next to me.

Vancouver Oct 10
Colorado Oct 12
Dallas Oct 18
Anaheim Oct 30
Wild Nov 15
Calgary Nov 21
St Louis Nov 27
Vancouver Dec 13
LA Kings Dec 15

I fully agree with this!! Personally, we either to go the R Bar or The Big Bang (dueling piano bar) that place ROCKS after games, especially on thurs-sat!

I know this is a long shot, but anyone interested in trading some tickets for a game in Nashville for tickets they can't use this friday? Would be willing to make a trade if anyone is wanting to make the road trip sometime this year. Would bring the tickets to columbus this weekend. That being said, if not, how difficult are tickets to get on the street, I know it's opening night, so it might be a higher valued ticket than normal, would you try to find something on eBay or Craigslist? Would like to sit lower level, preds attack twice preferably. If you could help give me an idea of how much to expect to pay on the street, that would help.

Thanks for your help.
