2 tickets for New Years Eve game. Like Doug61 said, best seats in the house (opposite side of the arena), section 217 Row B. Center ice. Asking $90 for the pair on craigslist, PM if interested.

First game after Christmas, kids are out of school... I think a lot of those wound up in stockings hanging from the mantle.

About 45 lower bowl tickets popped up on StubHub today. $35 and up. Fortunately my son is home from school, so we will do the CBJRush and get cheaper tix.

Hey guys, quick question. I moved to Cincy in September and got tix for the Caps-BJackets game new years eve. This will be my first time ever driving into Columbus, so are there any good parking garages near the arena? If you could give me an address for the garage and cost, I would greatly appreciate it! You can reply here or PM me if you want

Thanks!

The Front Street garage is a good choice and is $10. It is marked with a C on the map.

Park at the garage beside the North Market it's cheaper at $8 and smaller making the wait to get out much shorter.

Also the price on my New Years tickets is reduced to $60, but you have to come close to where I live to get them.

I always park in the Arena Grand Theater garage ($10), accessible off of Marconi Blvd directly across from the arena off of Nationwide Blvd. It takes me 5min to get out of the garage and I tend to not leave the game until after they announce the 3 stars. When you leave the garage, follow road out to Spring, left onto Neil, another immediate left onto Long St. Empty roads and easy access to any interstate, just follow signs.

Also, if you look at the map linked, off of Vine St. there are some $5 surface lots and meters (if you get there early...)

Hey.......Caps fan here. Planning a spontaneous trip to Columbus for the New Year's game pending some minor (hotel, plane, tickets) details. LOL

Can anyone give me any input on The German Village. Also, I'm hoping to eat a good pork and sauerkraut dinner on New Year's Day. Any recommendations?

You'll enjoy Schmidt's, but be prepared to wait. I cant imagine a much busier place on New Year's Day than that place. Go early, drop someone off to get your name in while the other person tries to find a place to park for awhile

For those headed down to the arena tomorrow, FYI it looks like less than 700 tickets remain on ticketmaster, so expect a sell-out. Might want to get those tickets early if you don't want to be shutout.

so...I'm curious. what are the odds I get my DSLR camera into the arena tomorrow night? Normal lens, nothing huge or "white" to scream pro.

I see guys in there with these all of the time, but have never bothered to try myself. Since we have the 'backstage' thing after the game, I'd like to try the nice camera.

So...better than 50/50? worse?

My wife has gotten her Nikon in no problem in the past, but I remember in the offseason some noise about changing the camera protocol so I don't really know if anything has changed or not

While watching the pre game warmup down on the glass for the Boston game, a guy was snapping pictures with what looked like a pros camera, he had no credentials dispalyed. An usher asked the guy to come with him, almost as if he had been throught that before. The lens on this camera 5 to 6 in. I didn't pay attention to what happened.

I think that applies to the DSL cameras that do not take interchaneable lenses. The Arena/CBJ takes issue with camera's with removeable/changeable lense features.

I'd call my ticket rep to check for sure. Either way, I don't think the policy is consistently enforced.
