I saw about 5 of the Oilers players at subway on Gay St the other day so i figured the Renaissance. You could be right however, I have no insider knowledge. lol
Renissance is another top choice I would bet. Very good possibility.
I"m going to be coming into town and was hoping to find a decent hotel to stay at for the night that is close to Nationwide Arena. Can anybody recommend anything?
Thanks.
My standard recommendation is the Residence Inn on Gay St. They have great rooms and a fantastic free breakfast. Also, across the street from the Tip_Top so you can get your late night drunk fix of Ohio Nachos with sausage. Mmmmmmmm.
thinking of taking the better half to the Black Tie Blue Jackets event. We've always talked about it, but never attended. Worth it? Are 'individual tickets' a waste of time, ie, 'championship couple' the only way to do it? If we do it, I don't want to be off in the stands somewhere
I have 2 tickets to the Minny Wild game on Tuesday, Feb. 7 that I am looking to move.
Seat Location:
Sec. 107, Row Q
Face is $80, but of course being this season as it is, not what I paid for them. But I'm taking a loss here to try and move them and offering them up for $25/each, $50 for the pair.

I've taken my daughter the past three years. We always enjoy it. Food excellent for such a big crowd, and we enjoyed seeing the boys and their wives and girlfriends walking the runway with young cancer heroes.
Individual tickets are fine, gets you right in the mix with all the high rollers. It aint cheap.... but the money goes to the Foundation.
See ya there?
Avoid the fashion show only tickets. They were offered last year, and didn't include dinner or arena floor seating. Those are the "off in the stands" seats you want to avoid. They were $100 a pop, but aren't listed so I don't think they are offering them again.

Reason: Added about "show only" tickets

Thanks. Should've asked you to begin with. One of Julie's coworkers is married to a manager at Kelly BMW, so they get the royal treatment. I believe Jake was their player last year. I asked Julie to see if she can snag us seats with them this year, but no such luck!
We'll see what happens. I've 40 or so jerseys, but not sure I have a suit nice enough to go!
Had just about enough of this season so I have 2 tickets available to the following games in Sec. 211 Row B:
Tuesday, Feb. 7 vs. Minnesota Wild
Thursday, Feb. 9 vs. Dallas Stars
Tuesday, Feb. 21 vs. San Jose Sharks
or
Tuesday, Mar. 6 vs. Phoenix Coyotes - Sec. 211 row F
Face value $34/ticket. Looking for $35/per pair. PM if interested. Thanks
So no one has tickets for the March 11th game? Guess I'll get them from scalpers
Unless you are picky about sitting in certain lower bowl sections, it looks like StubHub has a bunch of tickets posted for below face value right now. Even if you factor in their commission fee, its still a good deal depending on the area.
If I recall correctly they vary game by game. I believe they use the rush program to sell unsold seats to games, therefore if you go alone and need a single seat you can actually end up with a pretty banging one. I haven't done this in over 2 years though so things may have changed.
The seats are decent. The seats in the front-half of either bowl aren't available, but you (likely) won't have to sit in the top rows. For the price, the tickets are very good. With that said, there are occasionally better deals on Stub-Hub if you want to try that route.

i am always happy with where i get seated for rush tickets. i have gotten single game tickets on the glass before (which i don't prefer but some people enjoy that i guess).
3 legged mare has a limited event menu on game days. If you don't mind sandwiches it's fine. Looking for dinner? Most of their "dinner " items aren't available on game days. In addition some of the items on event menu were not available when we tried to order them. . Been there 3 times on game day and always disappointed in service and availability of food.
They are relatively new, so I'm hoping they are just working out kinks.....
