I wasn't impressed either, but it is still better than the restaurant that it replaced. My wife liked the sandwich she got, but I thought the fish could have been better that came with the fish and chips meal.
Mike (the owner) is a good guy, though, and I think that he will make the proper adjustments to the menu, given time.
Anyone here in the hotel industry? Going to Columbus the weekend of March 23-25th and I need a hotel at like a DIRT CHEAP price for 3 nights near the downtown core near the convention centre... or if anyone knows how to get crazy discounts please.... let me know
also... Im going to be pretty busy and my girlfriend is coming with me so I was curious to know what kind of attractions she could do during the day/night near the downtown core?

Good luck with that cheap hotel thing. If you wnat cheap, you are going to have to grab a room farther away.
As far as the arena district goes, your best bet would be to try Red Roof Inn. Of all of them, that would probably be the cheapest, depending on how much is going on down there. If the convention center has a lot booked, you are probably out of luck for cheap.
Of course it depends on what your definition of "cheap" is.

MLG but now that I know Mary Kay is there too... my girlfriend will be very pleased... as far as cheap goes i'd ideally like to get 3 nights for 150-200$.. preferrably walking distance from the convention centre.

Try Hotwire or priceline. You won't know exactly where you are staying downtown but you can get good hints from www.betterbidding.com. I got a room at the Westin for $55 last year for relatives from out of town. Keep in mind though the hotel tax in Cbus is ridiculously high at 18% or something like that.
As for your girlfriend German Village and the Short North are 2 neighborhoods within walking distance of downtown worth exploring.
Anyone have a dirt cheap ticket/tickets for tonights game?
