Antro needs to take his time coming back from this injury.
He is obviously no good to the team if not 100%.
Even if that means he gets a conditioning stint in Chicago.

That's unfortunate. She's going to miss a great Atlanta win tonight.

Im so upset. I literally contemplated every possible route/mode of transportation to get to Atlanta. But it was not possible. Perhaps another time....playoffs?

We have plenty. People just seem to like to use that as some sort of weapon against us.

It wasn't supposed to be a negative comment. I was seriously stating that I wish more southern states gave credit to their hockey teams. You have a great team, they deserve a sell out crowd

I'm actually a bit worried about the Thrash up there tomorrow night.
Don't mean to derail this topic, but just as an FYI, Hedberg is scheduled to start Friday.

Any word on Bergie? Is he playing tonight?

Atlanta has a lot of fans that can afford to attend, but don't. There's also the whole "ten years of being run into the ground" thing.

So, even though the guard has been changed, Dudley is doing right and Rammer is teaching the guys how to play the right way, fans won't show up until the team has proven they will compete. Half a season of success isn't going to bring back a lot of people.

Don't worry, though. I understood your comment. It's just a sore spot around here, when a lot of people (particularly on HF) pokes at Atlanta and remarks how there are only two fans of the team.

oh i know that opinion is of the small minority. that's why i didn't deck the guy because i felt sorry for him, his life must really suck if he has to insult other people over a sport to get enjoyment out of it.

fans won't come back unless we win. not jst for half a season, we won for half a season last year and that didn't get us much.

no we've got to make the playoffs before anyone will give up their protest against waddell and the atlanta spirit.

I wasn't being hostile with my comment. I was just stating the way people tend to feel about this franchise. Hell I live in Canada and it offends me the way people say **** like "Go back to your board with the other fan", and all those other attendance jabs. Just cheap, unnecessary and generally ignorant views.

I apologize if it came out as aggression.

Not to get too far off topic, the Bruins sold out every game in the 2010 calendar year, the last time they did that.....1972. I can take attendance jabs from plenty of teams, but the Bruins are not one of them.

People just don't realize the pedigree hockey has in the Southeast. for example...I live in Birmingham, AL. We got our first pro hockey team in 1976, when the Toronto Toros of the WHA moved south and became the Birmingham Bulls. They played to consistent sellout crowds at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center (the sister building to Edmonton's Rexall Place.) For the record, a hockey sellout at the BJCC is around 17,000. We almost got Wayne Gretzky when he turned pro, but just missed out. Michel Goulet started his career here, and Gordie Howe scored his 1,000th in our barn when he played for the New England Whalers. there's still a commemorative plaque in the building recognizing that feat. We had Frank Mahovlich, Phil Roberto, Dave hanson, Frank Beaton(Who still lives here) and many others. The ECHL Birmingham Bulls were very successful until running upon an Atlanta Spirit group-like managing era. We were putting 12,000-13,000 into the BJCC for ECHL hockey on a consistent basis.

I think some people are overreacting to the comment. I understood what he said, he wishes more people would show up to our games, and so do I. Doesn't sound disrespectful to me.
