Expecting a 6-0 USA victory. Anything less would be a disappointment, we need to be better.

The Germans usually give the Americans fits in this tournament, they beat them only a few years ago if my memory serves correct, sad part for germany is they usually play on the relegation side anywaya and since the US isn't there they don't get to carry those points over.

This one should be different however, the Americans have a strong team and shouldn't be anywhere close to losing this game, but you never know

Yeah, Germany usually plays us tough for some reason, but I still think the US wins handily.

USA - 5
GER - 2

Germany actually has a pretty solid team this year, their problem has been what was supposed to be one of their strengths (Grubauer in goal) has become their biggest weakness as he's been pulled twice. If Grubauer can get his stuff together or they start Treutle and he plays well, this game could be a lot closer than people expect.

Jesus. You may be right. Anyone know the status of D'Amigo, Zucker, Morin & Nelson.

If they're not going to play, we're going to be damn tired in the third and probably tomorrow against the Swiss.

The whole restriction on a taxi squad is absurd. Canada is going to have to deal with some injuries as well in Eakin, De Haan and Schwartz.

I think the (very slim) chances of a surprise would have been a bit higher if this game had been at the start of the tournament, not at the end of the round.

While Germany has looked pretty good against the USA in the past, I'd expect Team USA to win handily today.

If the powerplays are anything like they were in the first two games , don't expect a blowout. USA will win by a 2-3 goal lead, no shutout by the goalie.

Memo to Kyle Palmieri: PASS the puck!!!

Yeah, the U.S. only had three PP goals against Slovakia.

i am tempted to ask jason if he is playing tonight, but i guess we can all wait a few hours and find out just as easily.

i hope that he sits this game out though because we can run three lines and be fine. not worth rushing anyone back.

Wasn't it more PPs? They did get 2 major ones and only got 1 freakin goal combined. The PP unit wasn't great.

EDIT: Nevermind, I thought you meant PP opportunities not goals. I edit too much cuz English isn't my first language.

I am really starting to dislike Palmieri, hopefully he makes me change my mind in this game.

Palmieri is starting to piss me off. Pass the puck, please.

Looks like we're rolling 3 lines. No biggie though.

I think we can be fairly sure we will see D'Amigo, Morin and Nelson.

Also what is wrong with the pp seems to be getting the puck in the net. Is there something else you are looking for?

Morin and Nelson will both be dressed tonight but they're tentatively penciled in for the 4th line.

Zucker is not dressed. Chris Brown moves up to replace him on the Shore line.

Another optimist like me.

I think we will score one goal more though.

7-2 USA
