http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=402309

I'd like to take a second to say thanks for always answering all my questions, I'm always a little unsure about most of the moves I make and like second opinions. So thanks again.

Also one last thing, what really constitutes someone as a PP player? Just lots of offensive stats?

Solid offense, crap defense, basically, with middling stamina. I prefer having players with SOME two-way talent on my top lines.

In this case, that guy in particular is a huge defensive liability to have on any line.

New guy here, and I was wondering if this guy would be a good pickup for a second line checking center.

http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=568422

I have about 2.1 mil to sped and was wondering how much is reasonable to spend on him.

He'd be replacing this guy:

http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=490713

And playing with these guys:

http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=490726

http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=490729

Thanks in advance.

When you hire a coach with TP you are not actually hiring a new one. You are adding them to your personal staff on your home page which means 2 things. First you get to control part of their level up points, and second if you ever leave your team they will go with you to the next one.

Last three games have been stellar wins. 4-0, 5-0, and 7-0 wins. Bannister with 3 shutouts in a row. I couldn't ask for anything more from my team, except for the retarded trade proposals to stop coming in. I actually sent back a message to one saying "That is, by far, the worst trade proposal I have ever seen. Tried to trade a more expensive (barely), 69 AVG and 70 TV, 75 EPA player for Hajduch (http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=288936).

5-0 win with the backup in. Prepping Cap'n Morgan to go on a bit of a run here.

Thriller Miler picked up a hatty, giving him 8 goals and 9 assists in 14 games with my team. He and Beef Cherky are destroying opposition lines together. Can't wait til I have OPV healthy and playing alongside them, to replace Aldersmith.

How is everybody on your guys' teams, routine-wise? I have two offensive players under 25 (Second line wingers), everybody else is over. On D, I've got two under 25, 3rd and 4th line RD.

I have had a lot of 1 goal wins since I upgraded my team. My goalie's <25 routine is leading to some pretty poor games. He should be 25 routine by the end of next week, though.

Still undefeated in regulation... but am pretty upset that JL passed me in GD.

I like Cowan better I think. Rudichuk is alot better at faceoffs but thats about it. I like Cowans Positioning puck control and stamina

L-Train, you can add the Brandon Bulldogs ( http://trophyhockey.org/clubhouse.php?id=13265 ) to the list for SkyKushryd

anyone wanna outbid me here?? http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=180148

In my starting line up if everyone is healthy half my defense is 39.56 or above. 3 of them are below 25 routine (including my best player who is at 23.46). I have a 20 year old defenseman who hasn't cracked 10 routine yet. Half of my forwards have routine below 22 including 3 of my centers. My start goalie has 40 routine while my back up has 10, though my back up has been the better goalie so far this season

Edit. Btw, does anyone else get the sinking feeling that Nik just said **** these ingrates and quit Senikov games? Haha.

So did Nik ever come to a conclusion on what to do with the game that was missed last week?

Also, I don't like this thread numbering system and have it at 8.66 already. We only have 19 games in, we're not even halfway through. Rabble Rabble Rabble.

It's Europe. They basically don't work from Christmas Eve through New Years day.

I'll refrain from commenting further... that should say it all about my feelings in regards to their work ethic.

Ville, consider it done.

I think we've gone three threads in the past two seasons. If this one ends before the playoffs, I'll probably just roll with 8.99... if it's earlier, then I'll do 8.75 or something.

a guy with 60 stamina could succesfully play 10 min a night and be fine.

40, even 50 is too low, and he wont always play as well as whatever his stats say.

Depends how you play your lines, but I have a 3rd line winger with 43 stamina. He doesn't play on the PP or PK and get's around 10 to 12 minuets a game or so. It's never really been a problem for him so I think that could work as long as you don't over extend him.

Stamina is probably the single most important stat in the game for a player. I spent this entire offseason moving great players with **** stamina and hiring FAs with good stamina because of this.

It doesn't hurt to have a few guys with <60 stam on your squad as long as you micromanage them well. That guy; however, looks like too much of a liability/headache to me.

Let us say, for instance, you and I play in the playoffs. If my initiative is higher then yours you can be damn sure that I am going to find out what line you put that guy on by checking your fixtures and matching my top line against him with TOI set on more.

This adjustment is going to FORCE Zavadsky to play ALOT more than you had intended at ES because the ME is a bit weird when it comes to line matchings (trust me, I have seen this dynamic happen many times where my 4th line got more minutes than any other line because, presumably, the other coach had his top line set to face my 4th and had better initiative.) and the only defense you have against it is to constantly change your lines game after game to "hide" Zavadsky from me, which is where the headache comes from.

That all being said, if you have a high initiative skill and are less than confident in the intelligence of the other human HC's in your league (or if there are not that many to begin with) then perhaps he can be a good player for you.

I just got outbid on this guy. I'm going to need some new 2-4 centers for the next season or the one after. This guys is good for dump and chase, but is he worth it for a 3rd or 4th line guy? Or should I just wait till next season?

edit- I'm about to get this guy as a potential 4th line C so maybe I should just wait http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=700216

So I play #2 in my division (30 points to my 34) tomorrow. After that, 5 straight games against sub .500 teams, then the #2 team in the division again, followed by 2 more games against sub .500 teams, including a team that only has 2 wins so far this year. If I only lose one of those games, I could be in a simply dominant position 29 games into the season, which I think is a distinct possibility as long as my team plays up to par. Even better, about halfway through the run of sucky teams, I should be able to dress OPV to play a few games on the lower lines and work him up to his future second/first line duty. Not sure which line I'm gonna play him on yet, given his subpar stamina.
