Cal Clutterbuck

I would LOVE this guy on the Canucks.

He would be exactly what we need on our 4th line.

What do you think the Canucks would have to offer?

I don't think that Minny would trade him.

Also, he's a wing, don't you guys need centers?

WAY MORE than you would want to pay for a 4th liner, more than you would even want to pay for a third liner.

Spineless cowards who check star players from behind then cower to the bench have trade value?

^ wow

There's no value for him since he won't be traded at all.

He has been one of our best player along with Burns this season.

Think of what you'd be willing to deal for him. Then think of what is outrageous for him, then times that by 2 and you'll probably get Clutterbucks' value.

From the Wild games I've seen Butterstuff has been much more than just a 4th liner. He's been excellent. Can't see him getting traded.

Elisha Cuthbert does not play for the Canucks.

Don't think that Minnesota would be interested in moving him.

Actually, he is a 3rd liner.

Our 4th liners are Nystrom and Staubitz.

Can a Minny fan actually say a name value wise, or are we just to assume Vancouver has nothing of equal or greater value?

Clutterbucks value far outweighs what a team would pay for him, he is one of those guys who has value to a team because of what he is but paying for him is going to take something extreme specially since its a division rival.

Guys like him, are best drafted because trading for one is going to be a lose scenario for the team trading for him almost always.

First, he won't be traded.

Second, if for some illogical and statistically impossible reason he is, he won't be traded to a division rival.

Third, if for some metaphysically impossible reason he's traded to a division rival, you wouldn't be willing to pay what we ask.

I'd say the starting place would be a winger for Koivu, maybe Raymond? I'm a bit stuck on him from his time at UMD, so I'm biased.

Also, love the haters. One of the cleanest hitters in hockey, and people hate him because he hits anyone, including whoever your favorite player is.

a top 6 forward is what Minny would want either one in waiting or a younger one, but its not going to happen, Clutterbuck won't replace a top 6 forward, he is valuable but not that valuable it would be stupid for a team to give that up, that is why him being traded is very unlikely.

not sure what Van has to offer.

Pretty much...

I feel slightly bad for Hodgson. He is one of the Canucks prospects that really should be dangled come the deadline.

He is a center projected to be a top center. Yet, the Nucks have Henrick as their #1 center and Kesler as their #2. Hodgson isn't a third/fourth liner at all and it will be years and years before he is given a shot with the big club. With the drama surrounding him, why not ship him out in a package at the deadline?

Just sayin'...

Madden + Barker for Hodgson at the deadline?

Okay so for all of you call Clutterbuck a dirty player lets look at this-

Alex Burrows 82 games 97 hits 121 PM and 1 fighting major.
Cal Clutterbuck 74 games 318 hits 52 PM and 2 fighting majors.

I'm aware Clutterbuck is higher on the depth chart than Brad Staubitz.

Ha. My bad, sorry then.

Those who don't know Clutterbuck has a higher value than Staubitz have probably smoked some good ones before.

What in the hell are you talking about? As someone said your entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts.

Clutterbuck leads the league in hits for the third year in a row and has 150 penalty minutes in 2+ seasons. The number of even borderline hits he's thrown is far less than you can count on one hand.

On the flip side perhaps your concern is similar to that of Adrian Dater of the Denver Post who feels Clutterbuck hits too hard. If that is so maybe you should begin watching ringette....it sounds more your speed.

on a realistic note, it would probably take Raymond and possibly a pick? i think that sounds close to fair considering both clubs value on him.
