Clutterbucks value far outweighs what a team would pay for him, he is one of those guys who has value to a team because of what he is but paying for him is going to take something extreme specially since its a division rival.
Guys like him, are best drafted because trading for one is going to be a lose scenario for the team trading for him almost always.
a top 6 forward is what Minny would want either one in waiting or a younger one, but its not going to happen, Clutterbuck won't replace a top 6 forward, he is valuable but not that valuable it would be stupid for a team to give that up, that is why him being traded is very unlikely.
I feel slightly bad for Hodgson. He is one of the Canucks prospects that really should be dangled come the deadline.
He is a center projected to be a top center. Yet, the Nucks have Henrick as their #1 center and Kesler as their #2. Hodgson isn't a third/fourth liner at all and it will be years and years before he is given a shot with the big club. With the drama surrounding him, why not ship him out in a package at the deadline?
Spineless cowards who check star players from behind then cower to the bench have trade value?
What in the hell are you talking about? As someone said your entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts.
Clutterbuck leads the league in hits for the third year in a row and has 150 penalty minutes in 2+ seasons. The number of even borderline hits he's thrown is far less than you can count on one hand.
On the flip side perhaps your concern is similar to that of Adrian Dater of the Denver Post who feels Clutterbuck hits too hard. If that is so maybe you should begin watching ringette....it sounds more your speed.
