Lapierre to Ducks for Festerling and a 5th-round draft pick. Conference call w/nhl still to be completed but that should be rubber stamp

As per Kypreos Habs get Brett Festerling and a 5th rounder.

The 5th rounder is for 2012 draft

I can't understand Diver Lapierre wanting to leave Les Habs, though. Talk about a perfect fit.
Komisarek gone, 1/2 of the Kostitsyns, and Lapierre. All the guys so easy to hate, makes the rivalry much more satisfying with guys like that on the other team. As much as I hate the guy, I liked to hate him, so it's a shame. Hopefully someone else steps up to the D-Bag plate.

You can still hate him in Anaheim, you just have to stay later to do it

Yea, except that we play them once a year. Montreal having hate-able players is just that much better. Hating players on a team you don't play all that often doesn't build a great rivalry. Also, don't consider the Ducks, nor will I likely ever consider them a Bruins rival. (Unless we have some heated SCF rivalry going, which isn't probable)

Like someone else mentionned, we still have Darche as a Québécois on the team, as well as Alexandre Picard and the team just called-up David Desharnais (AHL player of the week).

Happy new year, Bruins fans

Ah my mistake. Louis Leblanc on the way too it looks like. He had a real good game for Team Canada today (too bad about Roy)

Happy New Year to you too.

Plekanec is the worst kind because A. He consistently uses his stick (if there's a high stick penalty, you can bet it's him); and B. He rarely drops the gloves (Krejci challenged him to a fight after Plekanec butt-ended him in the face, and the **** wouldn't go). I can't stand the guy, and I hope someday someone like Lucic destroys him.

Be that as it may. Now theres what, 1 guy whose gonna irritate us? Plus, he flat out won't fight, unless Krejci or someone like that can get him to go. I actually hate Cammy too, so that helps. I'm just saying this rivalry has gotten to a very sad level due to changing parts, especially on their side. It's disappointing.

it'll be subban, i'd bank on it. and it pains me to say that because i really like his game, but his arrogance will fit nicely into the rivalry IMO. nice little pest with a ton of skill, and he seems like the type that will drop 'em too if need be.

and quickly turtling/punching a guy while he's down.

He's annoying to watch, the amount of useless circles he skates in with the puck, I mean, at least Samsonov had a purpose to his dangles...

You may be right but something tells me that the Habs organization is trying to tame him while they can because of his skill set his has going for him.

In addition, if he does take the role of the pest and tries it on our beloved #17, I am very confident that Looch will place him in seat just the way he did with Komi.....

It will not be fun once the Locomotive BR 103 wrecks the little train "I think I can".

Sense the Habs are rooting out some cancer on their team. Funny they didn't send him to toronto.

Awesome news! I'm sick of all his dives and him hiding behind refs all day long. Let the west deal with this *****.

Ya, I read that later as well.

Apperantly he was a real suck-hole with Carbo as coach who enjoyed his antics but with Martin its been a different story.

Like I say, he'd be the perfect Leaf.

Myself,i think the habs lost on this trade and will not replace that guys type of game.Add to that Lappy played well vs Bruins so I am glad he is not on their team anymore.Good news for Bruins u ask me.
