When sutting down the all-star offence of Stamkos, St: Louis, Lecavalier, Malone and Gange, we almost get shut out by a rookie and allow goals from Purcell and Thompson. Always the grinders and the AHL goalies...

I said I'm so happy about that Gabby goal, that I don't care if TB scores.. and sure enough before I finish my sentence. Its a very good point against a very good home team. I'm very happy

They weren't, Staal and Girardi started. Tampa has last change, they saw Girardi and Staal out there and threw out their grinders. When the play was in Tampa's end, the Rangers put Gilroy and Sauer out so Staal and Girardi can rest when Stamkos and St.Louis or whoever come out.

Imagine even showing face in here after 8-2 not too long ago... I would stay low as an Islander fan, but hey.... They have to show something, cause they sure can't play for ****

When that's said.. on to the next game. The Panters better be stripped tomorrow...

I just gotta laugh at this. Gilroy has 2 flukey goals and everyone is like hes the man keep him in. Now he makes a "bad" play, and everyone is like **** him, we need MDZ back.

Bingo. Exactly what I said.

Now if we go into Florida and win I'll be happy

And it really was a great game by that goalie for Tampa

Tampa is rocking this year, besides the obvious mistakes, I'm proud of the boys, last year we would have come out with nothing, and how many points kept us out of the playoffs?

There was absolutely no reason for that stupid slide block attempt. What the hell was Gilroy thinking? We shut out Stamkos, Lecavalier and St. Louis and lose to Tyrell and Thompson. Really stupid and not excusable.

That goal was more the result of Sauer misplaying his man and Gilroy trying to compensate for it. Sauer has been great this season, but that goal isn't Gilroy's fault.

I hate when the Rangers control the puck for 75% of the game and lose somehow. We need some better set up players.

Love how we

a) make another rookie goalie look like a star

b) make 3rd line grinders look like stars

90% of the shots were directed straight at Roy's chest or pads. We can't finish.

Man we dont match up well with TB.... they just seem to be that team this year with a mojo hand for the Rangers. A pt on the road is still a positive.

Totally disagree. Gilroy made a good play there covering up for Sauer. It was a miracle that that puck snuck underneath him.

Exactly what I said. Gilroy is this year's whipping boy despite how well he's played.

Guys, this kind of thing just happens.

Things have a way of evening themselves out. What is important is that we worked a hard game, made some mistakes and game out with the statistical equivalent of a tie.

I also think we will respond well and win tomorrow.

Yeah he played great. A point is a point, and this is one that might come back and help us out.

We should take 2 against Florida, and it will be a great little trip.

no excuse, but something tells me yesterday's festivities might have affected their play a bit. happy to get the point, but still disgusted

I think we (myself included) are overreacting about Gilroy. He kinda got screwed and didn't really have another option

Your wrong because they man with the puck behind the net cannot score, where as Thompson wide open in front can.
