Looks like we got a bullpen by committee thing going with the forwards.

Per @NHLpredsinsider on Twitter.

He's already in San Jose today--I'm not sure why the Preds didn't just announce this at the same time they announced the Klasen reassignment so we didn't think the Preds were going in short benched.

Where is the fun in that? We've been panicking about 7 d-men, 10 forwards, and a Belak.

I didn't realize that a 'Belak' was a position? I guess the Preds are strong the 'Belak' position.

You've been here in person and seen the "belak", haven't you?

Yes I have and I had independent confirmation from a CBJ in house that the Belak sucks skills wise.

He sure isn't a forward or defenseman. Wade is a special breed of player.

True. I'm waiting for the day when he decides to pick up a guy into a fireman's carry and slamming him to the ice instead of impacting his metacarpals into someone's orbital bone....

the forward defense postion..

"A U.S. strategic concept which calls for containing or repulsing military aggression as close to the original line of contact as possible so as to defend the entire territory of a nation or alliance. The forward defense concept provides the rationale for the stationing of U.S. armed forces in Europe, Korea, and other overseas locations."

A Nashville Predator strategy which calls for a specific player to push opposing players as far as possible away from the bench so to defend the bench and his plus/minus rating. the forward defense strategy provides a trotzian rationale for the stationing of said player in front of the goal in hopes of a stray rebound off such players anatomy into the enemy goal.

anyway, poorly executed....... where are the wordsmiths or military people
