If Landeskog isn't available, I could see us taking Rask ahead of Saad. He'd easily be our best forward prospect ahead of other swedes like Petersson, Silfverberg and Sorensen. I like the idea of a swede-heavy team. It gives us an identity we've been lacking since the pizza line days, and would likely tempt our prospects to stay with the team long-term if they bond.

Silfverberg, Karlsson, Rundblad, Lehner, Petersson, Sorensen is a good start. Not to mention one of the best mentors available in Alfredsson.

I honestly don't see us taking rask. I like the idea of a swede team, i've always loved the swedes, but i do not see us passing up saad (big fan of him) or strome. Both are great and are just what we need. If we take either of them this year i will be ecstatic.

Personally, I would rather have Strome, but if we draft Rask it likely means we see something special in him which is cause for optimism.

Not expecting much tonight. The Leafs will play a physical game, and all I want to see is a team that can respond and won't back down like they did against Pittsburgh. Neil hasn't been throwing the body as much this year, and Fisher often goes easy on players along the boards. Pretty whack if you ask me.

.
We could see something special in anyone we take. Brandon Saad is my guy if were holding tight at 6-7-8. Size, speed, hands, shoots well from the slot...he plays LW.

Oh, and does anyone think this game preview doing the interviews with Crosby and Ovechkin remind anyone of Dragonball Z, with Ovechkin being Vegeta?

Elliott Friedman, "Crosby has surpassed you and reached a new level."

Sounds like he hit Super Saiyan or something haha

Is CBC going to the winter classic at 8, or staying with Laffs-Sens? (not talking about HD here, and didnt want to read through the whole thread).
