Winter classic or Ranger game?

Now that the Winter Classic is moved to 8, it conflicts with part of the Ranger game. Which will you watch live (I'm sure many of us will watch one and DVR the other)? I'm going with Ranger game...easy decision for me...

WC for me. I can actually watch that in HD on ESPN America, can't turn that down in favour of a laggy stream on the PC.

NYR !

Since the NHL schedualing dept insists on televising Pens vs Caps the same nights as NYR games, even in a week when NYR has 1 game (thanksgiving), I rarely get a chance to see the match up live thus affecting my interest.

I mean, yeah, it's interesting enough to complain that I cant watch those games, what seems like every time they play, that its televised around these parts at least. But it's kind of hard to make it a "cant miss event" when 1) my team takes president, 2) The build up isnt there for me because of the previous years of snafu'ed televising conflicts.

Not sure why the NHL doesnt want NYR fans watching their "cadilac" match up when they actually do televise the match up durring the season. Like I said, this happens alot. You would think they want as much ratings as possible and truning away the population of NY NHL fans is kind of a dumb buisness practice.

There's too much on tonight now. I'll be flicking between the Rangers game and the UConn bowl game (even though they'll probably end up getting blown out).

Rangers game, and its not even close.

I love outdoor games, but a Crosby Ovechkin love fest is not something I'm into.

Let's go Rangers.

Also, this is a big game for us.

Tampa has been giving us fits this season.

I want to see our boys come out hungry to embarrass them in their home rink.

LMAO! completely fabricated BS. Thank you mr bettman

I'll be watching the Rangers of course, but the start times (7:35 & 8:12) lend themselves to flipping back & forth.
I'm interested in seeing how this comes off, crowd, production etc.

Rangers game its not even a tough decision. Anyway I'm glad the wc plans got screwed up. Serves Bettman right for putting the pens in it again.

Uhm, Caps-Pens has been a pretty good rivalry since before Sid and Ovechkin.

Ranger game, naturally.

Forced rivalries are forced. I was only watching that because I had nothing better planned for a Saturday afternoon on New Years day.

I want to watch both. I hope when the WC starts, the Rangers game will be in the 1st intermission. I'll be flipping back and fourth, but mostly watching NYR-TB.

If the WC was on at 1PM, as originally scheduled, I'd keep it on in the background while doing something else. Now that it has been moved, I'll be watching the Rangers. Maybe flipping to the WC to see just how bad the ice is.

Ranger game .... but MSG will probably update us every time Crosby or Ovechkin touch each other or the puck so it'll feel like we are watching the WC anyway.
