Should be able to watch the last half of the WC when the Ranger game is over. Probably watch the 1st 5 minutes of the WC regardless if the Rangers are in intermission, then switch back to the Ranger game til it ends.

Didn't realize Rangers started @ 730, probably will only get to see the 3rd period of the WC, rather then the last half.

Rangers no doubt.

This spectacle isn't for NHL fans anyway (other than Pitt and Wash). This is to attract new fans to hockey and build popularity in the USA.

Rangers or GTFO. I'll have both on, but paying attention to the Ranger game.

Sabres here.... -_-

at least I think. They have Chris Drury's restaurant on MSG, doesn't look like the pre-game show.

Looks like I don't have a choice. The Rangers game is on NHL Network (blacked out on Center Ice) where they are currently showing the WC pregame show.

Great.

The Winter Classic happens once a year. There are 82 Ranger games a year. I'm a hockey fan before I'm a Ranger fan, this one is a no brainer (though I will be flipping channels during every stoppage of course).

ETA - Actually I'll probably just put the Ranger game on the laptop. Best of both worlds.

Yeah, he's too busy centering Prust and Fedotenko.

im a big rangers fan but i am also a big hockey fan. i wait every year for the WC and i love alex ovechkin. with the piss poor effort the rangers put on that game starting from the 1st minute of the game, im glad i tuned into the winter classic....i HATE DVR'ing live events and this was something needed to be seen live, so i am glad i tuned into the WC, also wearing my winter classic ovechkin jersey. i tuned into the NYR vs TB game but the WC was great. plus, we treated the WC like a superbowl and made an event out of it and i watched it with a bunch of people.

lets hear what everyone has to say now

I ended up completely missing the Rangers and watching parts of the first 2 periods of the WC.
