I like this. We could really use an agitator. Getting a 3rd is also nice.

Carcillo is actually a good teammate, too. Laviolette doesn't play him all the time for whatever reason, so I would really like to send him somewhere he can get regular 3rd/4th line minutes, and upgrade the forward talent level a bit. I don't like that Shelley takes regular shifts with Laperriere out (possibly for good). I heard Glencross wants to get paid this offseason, so he might be a pure rental for the Flyers, but I still like the forward corps much better with him in it.

Glencross-Richards-JVR
Hartnell-Briere-Leino
Zherdev-Carter-Giroux
Nodl-Betts-Powe
Shelley (Eric Wellwood = first Phantom callup)

Glencross looked awesome tonight. I would definitely do this deal. Carcillo doesn't really have a role with Lavi.

How is Curtis defensively?

Pretty solid defensively. He is fast and wears his heart on his sleeve which is both gooand bad depending on the stitud ation. Solid player though.

Carcillo is a pretty solid player. I agree about the draft pick. Trying to get our picks back (how un Sutter like) is surprisingly important for Feaster... what a change.

Glencross is very solid defensively... he has his lazy moments (alot less thn other guys, but they are still there)... but overall he is solid... he has also really come into his own since joining the Flames... he had a good offensive year the season before joining the Flames but was still establishing himself as a regular NHLer... he was an ok 3rd liner... but he has become much more dangerous offensively and has become an excellent penalty killer... something he never did any of while with the Oilers or Blue Jackets... in fact he is now far and away the Flames #1 penalty killer (next closest regular plays 37 seconds less per game on the PK)

he will be an asset to any teams playoff run... the problem will be retaining him as I (among others) believe he will be looking for an opportunity to increase his ice-time and prove himself as a 2nd liner

Yeah I knew he is a big PK guy, one of the reasons I want the Flyers to get him. Thanks for the Info. Would love to have him along side Richards on the "3rd" line for the Flyers.

He is primarily a LW right?

Glenner is a left winger but can when needed play the other side.

The more I think about it, the more I want this deal to happen.

Flyers dont need a big deadline deal, and cant really afford one anyway. Adding a 15+ goal, checker and PKer to our 3rd line would be great. Cheap contract and UFA at year's end for flexibility.

You guys should contact Feaster, I'll call Holmgren.....

I like Glencross when he's on (which is quite often), but once and a while he'll have dreadful game, particularly in the discipline department. Usually in close games too, it seems.

Looks like he's on pace for 20 goals this year though.

If Glenner has a great couple of months pre deadline I wonder if the pick could be a second instead of a third with Carcillo... or possibly the Flames would throw in a filler player (no longer JD Watt ) to even it out.
