Oy, I must say, I used to be a Stan Lee fan until he did Stripperella. I worked at Nickelodeon at the time and he's a total @ss. His stuff has become so very generic and lame.

This has got to be one of the dumbest things the NHL has ever done when it comes to public image and advertisement.

I don't get the purpose of this. Teams already have mascots to appeal to kids. What do they expect to do with these fictional cartoon characters? They surely aren't launching a kid's cartoon series and who would want to read comic books (which is a dying business) of a clearly poorly thought out marketing campaign?

I'm expecting it to be as successful as this:

or this:

Mascots are primarily for the very, very young kids to be entertained by.

These superheroes are trying to bring in the preteen boys market.

Bingo. It's for kids.

I loved the main board topic where people were calling it the biggest travesty they've ever seen

I get the marketing logic behind this kind of thing, but it just seems kind of ludicrous. Why bother with the toys and crap? Why not just teach kids the game?

I had no idea they were even doing this. I don't see the point behind this, then again I don't see the point behind Big Bang Theory and it's a hugely popular show. Is being a comic book geek cool now?

Could he save the Kings from their four game skid? If so, then that truly does demonstrate his super powers.
