Watching Cowen improve his play tremendously in comparison to last year's WJC, but watching Lehner play for Sweden has been a real treat. Haven't had a lot of viewing time on the guy and he's been absolutely stellar. It excites me to see Ottawa finally, FINALLY, has a high-end goalie prospect.

Didn't have a great game last time out, but I'll give him a break.

People are acting like the Swedes should have won by a landside and it was Lehner's fault that it went to a shootout

1st goal: off the defenders skate
2nd goal: awful goal
3rd goal: crazy bounce right to hamilton
4th goal: amazing setup by schenn, hamilton had to deflect it in with skate to score
5th goal: schenn all alone in front of the net

He showed up big in the later half of the 3rd, OT and the shootout too.

Have to agree. All I want to see from Cowen is more strength in front of the net clearing the crease and more physical play. I wonder if he's been warned to tone down on the physical stuff to avoid penalties that Canadians often get called for.

Lehner had a rough game against Canada, but with Finland's collapse (Russia's resurgence?) last night Lehner has a shot for top goalie in the tournament. He would need great outings against Russia and Canada/US and weak games from Campbell, but it's definitely in reach.

These are the first games I've been able to really see these two in action and it's pretty exciting, especially considering the Sens current effort level.

Lehner's playing great but the Russians are dominating. I didn't expect the Swedes to look lost.

For christ's sake Duthie and McKenzie, could you please talk about the game at hand rather than tonight's game?

Tarasenko has been rock solid all tourny long. He's playing past his years and looks like he has a very strong awareness and plays the game smart, on top of that he is a dynamic offensive player. Hopefully that is a deal that works out for both teams, Blues fans must love what they're seeing.

Where is the support for Lehner? Sweden looks shook right now, they really need to get their game going because they look nothing like the team we have seen all tournament.

He was pretty much invisible against the Finns last night, but other than that he has been great.

What a bomb by Larsson.
