And yeah, where was Konopka or Martin to throw a beating to someone on the Calgary 4th line. Either one of them could've taken on Jackman. I don't think I've ever seen that guy win a fight!

It doesn't have to be related to his surgeries (unless we hear so.)
Edit - OK, I'm out until tomorrow.

Nice win yet again, the first line looked well and PAP is playing very solidly, he is a workhorse and has confidence, but JT shined bright tonight.

We are going to be in big trouble if Comeau and Nielsen are out for any extended period of time, they are our best penalty killers, let's hope they are ready for Thursday.

Gervais was still horrible, he has massive miscommunication with goalies, three times he crased with Lawson.

Jiggs calls a much better game than Howie.

I think if DP is hurt, we are going to end up with Mike Smith, but as an Isles fan... we would rather not bring in another goalie and hopefully DP comes back after a few games. The Lawson kid looked good though.

MacDonald is a beast.

Why is the power play suddenly so much better with a certain #20 now playing in Montreal, kind of odd.

Grade 1 - minor pain, can resume stretches and light workouts within a week but needs rest

Grade 2 - Rest but needs some physical therapy - could miss 2-3 weeks

Grade 3 - Non surgical - no weight and rest for a week and needs therapy

Grade 3 - surgical - out 3-6 months
He was able to skate off under his own power, yes? I don't see how this is the worst-case scenario then.

The Islanders are finally doing what they SHOULD have done with DiPietro and that's protect their investment. Of course, since they didn't, that investment is starting to become less and less worth protecting.

The blueline is just simply a lot better right now. For whatever reason.

Schremp was invisible last night. I barely noticed he even played.

Without Comeau he was lost, he was playing on a line with Sim and Joensuu, Schremp did make a solid defensively play late in the game when it was still 4-2.

I guess I question a player who will probably start the 2011/12 season on his 5th team in 4 years, I can only infer that he affects the chemistry on some level. I mean Radek Martinek has worn one jersey in the time Wiz has suited up for all these teams.

I don't think Gervais has played well, he still scares me immensely.

Joensuu and Sim are far from ideal linemates for him. Whenever he got the puck, he had nowhere to pass to.

But he still hustled alot.

Folks, I only got to see the Calgary broadcast and they said NOTHING about either Comeau or Nielsen.

Was ANY explanation given for why Nielsen didn't play in the third???

And for those wondering why Martin and Konopka (who had already fought in the 1st) didn't seek more justice, they must have been DEAD tired just holding onto the win with only three lines.

The Calgary crew gushed about Tavares. I too think it was his single best performance this season.

Really loving Andy Mac and Travis.

Good to see the team winning even after Roli was shipped out. It's really tough to see DP getting injured again. The guy really should retire after this season.

Go easy. He believes in him. He's even got a jersey with DP's name on it.

I've been sick for the last few days and watching this game made me feel a lot better. JT had a great game and I'm happy that's he's finally shooting more. You could see he was trying to get the hat trick many times. IDK why Parenteau gets as much crap as he does on this board I mean yea the guy isn't the best player but the guy at least tries and he has put up decent points. That moulson goal doesn't happen if he doesn't pass the puck. He's making the best out of his opportunity here. I still don't get why Jon Sim is on the second line with Schremp. Bailey and Grabner should be up there with Schremp. For some reason I feel Martin shouldn't be on the 4th line at all, I think he has more potential maybe as a third liner. DP showed a lot of guts today, hate him as you will for a contract that was given to him, but the guy cares so much about this team. He could have layed down in pain after he got hurt instead he got up and made a few saves before going out of the game. The fact that guy actually came back out to congratulate Lawson was also classy. You can tell his teammates love him and he's a big part of this team whether fans like it or not. You cannot question the dude's desire.

Thank you very much. It seems few inside the Isles fans feel bad.

Nathan Lawson, the guy who got called up from Bridgeport to replace Roloson is who finished this game and should get some playing time the rest of the season regardless.

DP might not even miss any playing time to the dismay of some fans. He actually was having a pretty good game tonight too. Glad he got the win.

Dream on dude - I don't think we'll see your beloved DP for weeks at a minimum. This reminds me of my 40+ adult softball league, where guys play two games and are out for the year with one issue or another. Maybe DP can play in an old guy beer league in Suffolk County or even DEK hockey.

Parentau just proves the point that stats can be vert misleading. PA did not pass the puck to Moulson, he actually muffed a shot atttempt and it went right to Matty who was exactly where he should have been for a pass or rebound.Even JT was making fun of the "pass" in his interview. PA's stats are filled with secondary assists that mistly include touches because he is on the ice with Tavares. He had a much better than usual game last night in that he didnt get in Tavares way and crowd him out, showed some hustle, and didnt turn the puck over as much as usual. But his stats mask how bad a hockey player he is. I hope Garth can fleece some GM at the trade deadline for PA from some GM who reads stats lines.

Watched it on DVR after I got home last night and all I have to say is Lawson is quickly making a believer out of me. I thought he played well in his start a couple weeks ago and was really solid in relief tonight. Hopefully he gets the start in Edmonton I'm curious to see if he can keep this play going(plus I think DP should backup a game and this would be the right one to do it I feel).
