As a player, i was able to get used to a mouth guard. However, i was never able to get used to wearing a neck guard or wrist guards. Limits movement and makes u feel like a robot.

Ryan Callahan & Vinny Prospal both skated yesterday on their own, & Torts says next step is for them to skate with coaches...

No update on his status, but he has not been cleared to grip a stick yet.

Wow some people are delusional on this board imo. Drury was never this person people are trying to say he was in the past. Leadership? Please when was he ever a consistent leader on this team. Puckhandling when did he ever handle the puck for longer than 10 seconds. He was 3/4 line guy and is still is somewhat that role although much harder on him now with the increased speed not favouring Drury lack of acceleration and balance. You want to **** on him that fine but dont act like he has dramatically changed since when he first arrived. Almost identical player but used less now.

No doubt this team misses him big time.

And, i would venture to say we've lost a little skill and playmaking ability with Christensen out. He was on pace for a 30+ point season.

But I believe MZA and the addition of Wolski has cured that.

Hopefully Cally comes back earlier than expected and can play his game close to 100%.

People on this board need to stop questioning if someone is a leader or not unless they themselves are in the locker room. No one here unless they are a player/management in disguise, should ever comment on someones effect on the locker room. And as far as i know no Rangers player/coach/mgmt has ever come out and questioned Drury's leadership.

I use them, they don't restrict my movemet at all.

They didn't prevent Tavares from scoring 70 goals in the CHL or from Hall winning two Memorial Cups.

I just don't see any real valid excuse not to wear them. There's a "cool" or "style" factor, that's really the only reason.

At one point in time masks on goaltenders was frowned upon, and players with helmets were considered wimps.

One small piece of equipment could prevent a tragic incident on the ice. Look at the Zednik incident.

They'll never wear them, though.

when Callahan is back, do you

1) Bump MZA down to the "fourth" line (which is playing quite well of late)?

Brandon Dubinsky - Artem Anisimov - Ryan Callahan
Wojtek Wolski - Derek Stepan - Marian Gaborik
Ruslan Fedotenko - Brian Boyle - Brandon Prust
Sean Avery - Chris Drury - Mats Zuccarello

or

2) Put Callahan on that very active "fourth" line. Reunite Drury and Cally? I'm assuming if this is the case, he is still getting the type of minutes you'd expect although maybe not at first if Torts eases him and his TOI back into the lineup. I'm also assuming many won't read this and flame 'what? Cally of the fourth? you fool' and such.

Brandon Dubinsky - Artem Anisimov - Mats Zuccarello
Wojtek Wolski - Derek Stepan - Marian Gaborik
Ruslan Fedotenko - Brian Boyle - Brandon Prust
Sean Avery - Chris Drury - Ryan Callahan

MZA has been playing well, I wouldn't cut his ice time. I agree with putting cally on the 4th line for the first few games, let him get his legs back. We certainly would have an insane amount of depth with those lines...

reunite the BAR line... they have probably been one of the two most consistent lines on the team when they aren't being switched around.

Dubi - Arty - Cally

Wolski - Steps - Gabby

Feds - Boyle - Prust

Aves - Dru - Zucc

That "4th" line is hardly a 4th line. They should be able to get a good 8-10 mins of ice time... and you can give Zucc some time on the PP.

Cally is the heart and soul of this team and he would've had 50-60 pts this year had he avoided the injury. You don't drop him to minimal ice time.
