Draft Day Predictions

It's comming up fast! What do you think they will do? What would you like them to do?

Well, with the tantalizing prospect of picking 92nd overall, I can't contain my excitement over the possibilities.

The really dumb thing about the Comrie deal, besides dealing Woywitka (another Regehr, IMHO), is throwing in the first pick. Picking gems late in Round 1 is something at which they excel, for all the organization's other faults.

If they want a pick that badly I'm sure they'll be able to do something.

I think they'll make a move and get at least a mid second round pick, if not a first.

I think they will take d-man Roman Polak with the 92nd pick if he is still no the board. There were some rumblings about him joining Ruzicka in Owen Sound in the CHL import draft.

I think that if they move at all, it will be to move up 5-10 spots to nab a guy that they want for some reason.

The Flyers will move all their 7th, 8th and 9th round picks for 6th, 7th and 8th round picks next year.

I'd like to see the Flyers pull of a shocker at the draft, but I've got a funny feeling that the draft this year is going to be yawner, much like the 2002 draft. If there was some way we could get a 2nd round pick, I wouldn't mind seeing the Flyers draft someone like Tim Brent though. I think he would be a good pick and would be a good player for years to come.

Yeah, nothing exciting happened at the 2002 draft.

Unless it's crunchy peanut butter it's a toss up as to whose softer.
