He's had his issues, but I thought someone would grab him. Guess those extra years were just too much, reduced price or no.

This really disappoints me. Was positive SOMEONE would claim him.

Amazing.

I've been mildly surprised that various players have cleared waivers in one form or another before, but I'm flat shocked that Commodore cleared. on re-entries that was a good deal.

According to McKenzie(NHL Live),it's the 2nd year remaining on the contract which is the problem. Next year and the following year(12-13). If it was just next year,Commodore would have been claimed.

Based on what? Hes a HORRIBLE Defensemen.

I'm not sure people have seen him play since the Play-off round against Detroit a few years back. He has been a compelte liability in his own end. He doesn't have to speed to keep up with players and lacks the vision and defensive "comprehension" (Read: is stupid) to understand whats gonna happen to compenstate for his lack of speed"

Hes Darien Hatcher after they implemented the new rules post-lockout.

Well, I guess I haven't seen his decline then. I admit I don't watch him very often. He certainly seemed fine in other situations post-lockout...

The third year is a killer. Teams are shying away from any salary past summer of 2012.

Did you actually see him play much over the last 1.5 years?

I'm not surprised he cleared. I think the extra term REALLy scared teams off. If it was just this year, or even through 2012, I think he would have been picked up. Guys who play like Commodore don't age particularly well - and tend to fall off really quickly when age catches up with them.

That would have been my guess. Two more years after this one is a huge risk if he doesn't pick his game back up.
