He was averaging 18:34 per game. He was in the second defense pairing and played with Hejda. Here is the Bluejackets pairings now

DEFENSE PAIRINGS:

—Rostislav Klesla, Marc Methot

—Jan Hejda, Kris Russell

—Fedor Tyutin, Anton Stralman

He was in the doghouse last year for coming to camp out of shape. It went downhill because of injuries.

That being said, it might be worth a gamble. They said they will either trade him, or send him to the minors. Maybe we can work out a trade and send them Hunter.

The trades of Roloson and Wiz were facilitated to save Wang money. I can't see them picking him up even on re-entry waivers.

Or because that would give us 7 dmen under contract for next season and stop us from adding anybody better in the offseason.

I should've been more specific, I meant anyone as in another team. Not us. We'll know soon enough I guess.

I think he's an upgrade over Bruno or Hillen.

if he's overpaid at 3.8 , whats a fair salary then for what he can offer?

you'd have to think he could play in the isles top 6 right now and next year .

Wouldn't it be 1.875m cap hit each year on re-entry?

yes , 1.87 'ish cap hit and actual money due would be 1.75(half of 3.5) in 10-11 , 1.675(half of 3.35) in 11-12 because he was paid more in the initial years of the deal

I think Commodore for 1.8mill a year is a good signing....It would certainly be a bargain to get what would end up being a top 4 guy for us.

The problem is I don't want this to essentially block Dehaan or another prospect from coming up next year. If it was just till the end of this year I would be down with it or if we were in playoff contention this year he would be a good pickup.

If we get him fine if not I ain't gonna call out Snow for not picking him up.
