One more injury...

and we will be the 2007 flyers,

Our two best defenseman are out for the season,

If Carey Price >> T. Plek/ Cammy/ Gomez/ Gionta go down, this season will be a disaster, and we will be drafting top ten

I'm actually perfectly comfortable, I barely get a chance to watch the habs anymore, but I can see two areas where were lacking, our once impenetrable defense is missing two of the best, and we lack scoring with no capable backup (no offense auld). Therefore if another injury occurs we will be in rough shape. especially if its too the forward group or too the goaltending

this game is done.

Boston is playing a perfect game and the habs are incapable of skating around them to generate anything.

on a positive note, Eller will be back in the lineup.

Even if we somehow landed a top 3 pick, I would have zero faith in Timmins to select the right player.

I just see a team without a defensive structure, Don't get me wrong, Gorges Markov Gill Spacek Subban and if we resign Wiz, will be great next year albeit small. But I'm a realist and that tells me they need work before they'll be good again, the big problem being scoring. Which right now is lacking, a high pick due to injury would not be the worst thing to happen to the franchise. With us back in the playoffs next year. If we however make it I will cheer, they are a good team when they are on but rely on defensive structure and missing your two best kinda dwindles that

When it's a Bruins/Habs game and Thomas is in nets, it's over from the very beginning, but you knew that, right?

It was my way to Jinx the Bruins

At some point, you've got to think that the Bruins are a cursed team when they play against the Habs.

Pretty hilarious win.

Honestly, is it that farfetched to think that we would be in deep trouble if Cammy goes out in addition to Markov and Gorges?

Fortunately, Cammy is only out with a sickness but a long term injury would have been the black plague to our top 6.

With Markov out for all but 7 games, it's fair to say he's been our 2nd D.
Hammer is our 1st and then it's Gorges.

Aided by hindsight (the 9:30 lightning bolts that electrocuted the bears) I'd say you weren't watching the game carefully. The Hab gave up a couple of goals but were playing as well as the Bruins. Look at the shot totals and the low number of penalties the Habs were taking.

Seriously, and I honestly do feel bad when a team constantly gets beaten by the same opponents for sometimes no good reason. Boston Losing to Montreal, Montreal losing to Philly in the playoffs, Montreal losing to Brodeur, Toronto losing to everyone...the fanbases feel so beaten down and helpless in those situations, and I can't help but feel for them, even if I do hate the Bruins/Flyers/Leafs out of the above-mentioned teams.

I wouldn't put it as strongly as the OP, but yeah, we can't afford any more major long-term injuries, especially on D or to Price. I don't think that another major long-term injury would doom us to a bottom 10 position, but it would probably cost us a playoff spot.

Hopefully (knock on wood) we won't have any more such injuries this season.
