Wasn't sure where to put this, but I read it just now on the Post Caps Insider and I got a laugh:
On the now-infamous absence of a postgame handshake: "I mean, they were supposed to be out there shaking hands, and I guarantee if the score was reversed, they would have been up there jumping up and down, calling us names and stuff like that, but I'm getting used to that kind of stuff from them."
There are some more good quotes from BB's in the full blog entry including a dig at MD blue crabs.
Okay I'll admit it. Given 24/7, BB's quotes about the Pens, and they way he jokes about his appearance... I'm actually beginning to like the guy.
i liked him before, but why did he get **** for getting ice cream at 10? is it normal no, but he's fat. i'd rather him that then saying he only eats salads. he was obviously playing it up for the camera.
I assume this is to fill Semin's spot. If so, why not A. Gordon getting an extended look.
I'm not saying this is the only reason, but Gordon has played 8 games and it's possible none of them were on emergency recall; if that's the case he'd only have 1 more game before having to clear waivers to be sent back down so I'd think it would take a more long-term injury or an emergency recall to see him back in a Caps jersey at this time in the season.
As for Willsie, he's played well for Hershey all season. Nice to see him rewarded with the recall for the short roadtrip. On that note, the GDT needs to be started by an old-timer around here given the news....
Nice to see Green get some deserved recognition....even though this isn't his best season IMO.
George McPhee....The Teflon GM. 15 years of failure and counting....
6 - Number of playoff series the Capitals have won since George McPhee took over as General Manager in 1997 (which makes him the third-longest-tenured GM in the League), three of which came in McPhee's first season on the job.
