Fox would be a good hire. He'd probably keep McCoy around as the OC, which I'm not sure is a good thing. He didn't impress with his play calling in the last few games, but at the same time, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to keep him around and have Tebow work with the same coach next year.

I'd be for McCoy staying around to coach Tebow...Ben McDaniels (who I believe is the QB coach) too for that matter.

Remember though, McCoys playcalling was suspect because he'd never done it until the Arizona game.

Peter King is claiming John Elway told him he doesn't think Tebow is a good QB. McD wants to trade for Tebow if he goes to Minnesota.

How long ago did this conversation take place? I'm guessing he told him that before he was brought in a VP of Football Operations?

Yeah thats big news if the convo took place recently.

I'm still pulling for a Fassel/Fox combo..one of them HC and one of them a coordinator.

I think Tebow will be an average starting QB. He won't be a great one (or a playoff one) without a good defense. I hope Broncos fans aren't buying into Tebow carrying the team to the promise land without any talent around him. And hiring Elway just seems to bolster some fans thoughts that Tebow will/can because I think they reminisce about Elway more now.

Shutting down trade speculation about a quarterback? Who would have thought such a thing was possible?

I'm getting sentimental here: I do *not* want Chauncey moved in any deal. I think the number of fans that are in love with Chauncey is extremely high, and if he were to be dealt, would be a huge blow to the fan base, particularly since he's the complete opposite of Carmello in his loyalty to the team.

To anyone who didn't watch the Saints vs Seahawks game yesterday, you have to watch Marshawn Lynch's orgasmic run.

I don't think anyone expects Tebow to carry the team by himself. Tebow is still a very unknown. With alot of work he could turn out to be above average enough to win us a Super Bowl. He could also not get any better and we'll be stuck. 3 games and 3 weeks of work with the first teamers is just not enough of a sample size to know.

How much of that was just on poor tackling though. I mean you know the Saints went up there expecting a cake walk.

I want to keep Chauncey too, him being the local kid and all. But if the Nuggets go through with blowing the whole thing up he won't want to stay.

This is interesting:
Quote:
McDaniels apparently will overcome his stormy head coaching era with the Broncos in part because he has Bob LaMonte as an agent. A year ago, Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier called LaMonte to ask if he’d represent him. Frazier explained he kept finishing second to LaMonte clients for head coaching job.
Quote:
LaMonte basically hired the Broncos’ staff in 2009, too. He represented not only McDaniels, the head coach, but Mike Nolan, the defensive coordinator, and Mike McCoy, the Broncos’ offensive coordinator.
I wonder if this might have something to do with our difficultly even getting interviews. LaMonte might be upset that he has to take less money in commisions because of the Broncos settling with Josh.

You cited my comment about "That's who I hope they get". Just for the record, I was talking about the Broncos getting John Fox, not the Nuggets getting......anybody.

Asomugha's contract voided with the Raiders. wow.

Zach Miller is also a potential FA. He'd make a great TE for the Broncos. Zach Miller has just been stuck in a really really bad offense.

Perry Fewell being interviewed today. I like him as a candidate. His defense in New York this year was mean and played to hurt other QB's. I'm pretty sure they hurt 5 or 6 QB's this year, and forced a ton of turnovers.

If his attitude is like Coughlin's I don't want him.
